dunno, the facial injury might mean that people took care of her from an early age, could have given her false expectations of RL? (which turned out not to be false, lol).

as i say, i've heard she's a bit of a queen but good to her friends.

spicemonster · 28/03/2009 10:48

Well she's fifty five and she didn't become incredibly rich until she was in her 20s so she's obviously got some memory issue because I presume she must have cooked for herself at some point. It's not like she's the Queen

expatinscotland · 28/03/2009 10:49

even if people took care of her, she was in a council house. the kitchen is an integral part of such a home.

AitchTwoOh · 28/03/2009 10:50

yes, so she probably asked her mum for egg and toast...

AitchTwoOh · 28/03/2009 10:51

tbh i meet incredibly rich people every so often in my job, they lose touch with reality very quickly, but it doesn't make them awful people iykwim?

spicemonster · 28/03/2009 10:59

I don't know - firing your cook because she has the audacity to get pregnant does strike me as pretty awful. Excusing her behaviour because she's rich is a bit shocking tbh

TsarChasm · 28/03/2009 11:02

She sounds like Prince Charles. All 'green' (in theory)

TheJester · 28/03/2009 11:04

yes green gubbins, but furtively flying shoes around in a helicopter. That kind of green!

TsarChasm · 28/03/2009 11:12

..and not so furtively more often that not. Certainly in Chas's case.

Beetroot · 28/03/2009 11:13

lol- she realy does look strange

TsarChasm · 28/03/2009 11:19

I always remember that wedding photo of her on a horse. So cringey!

expatinscotland · 28/03/2009 11:32

Well, that is a valid point, spice, especially as their appeal was immediately quashed.

I mean, most people are lovely to their friends or they wouldn't have any.

I don't think it's acceptable to be a 'Queen' to your employees. Bit nouveau and pathetic, IMO. Shows insecurity at the least.

I can't abide hypocrites like Sting.

I don't think even Prince Charles flies around as much as he does. He seems quite the homebody. He doesn't have houses all over the world, either.

noddyholder · 28/03/2009 11:33

Have met him several times TOSSER!!!!!!

TheJester · 28/03/2009 11:50

Yes, PC;s worst crime is being an unbelievable geek! god love him, mais, le geek est chic n'est pas?

wait til king henry viii Prince William is on the throne! we'll be hankering back to the halcyon days of Prince Charles caring about skylines being ruined, grade ii listed buildings, pollution and the environment. we will.

expatinscotland · 28/03/2009 12:27

Yes, and GM crops and pesticides and all such other woes.

kidcreoleandthecoconuts · 28/03/2009 12:32

I used to work with Trudie Styler's sister. She's lovely and a great laugh. The stories I could tell you .

TheJester · 28/03/2009 12:36

oh go on then, don't tease

Lizzylou · 28/03/2009 12:45

A friend of my Mom's went to school with Trudie (she's from about 4 miles from my hometown, and Stoke Prior is a nice place to live, semi-rural, pretty place, hardly inner city squalor) and said she was always wierd and "out-there", so can't blame Sting for that one

Lizzylou · 28/03/2009 12:46

And she is at least 58 yrs old (could be 59, certainly not 55).
Not that it matters.....

Nontoxic · 28/03/2009 12:55

I remember an interview with her years ago. The journalist was given lunch en famille at the medieval banqueting table, and her youngest child was about six months old.
Trudy was exclaiming how she believes a baby should be held all the time - while the nanny was holding said baby throughout the interview.

pagwatch · 28/03/2009 13:04

Dh went to a very posh lap dancing club ( if there is such a thing) for a friends stag night.
I remember him telling me about seeing a well known pop star and his wife being snuck in for private 'dances'.
Allegedly.

I wish I could remember which couple it was...

mrsmaidamess · 28/03/2009 13:07

isn't this a typical morning in everyones house?

mrsmaidamess · 28/03/2009 13:09

trudi's front bedroom

CrushWithEyeliner · 28/03/2009 13:17

The ALWAYS mention she was from a council estate - had she been one of these aristocratic sleb types I doubt she would get such a roasting.

She does look shocking though, what awful surgery - no wonder Donatella Versace is a pal...

CrushWithEyeliner · 28/03/2009 13:20

Is that first pic some kind of mutual tantric wank?
