Oh dear. I always find it a bit cringey when old bands creake back into life. Makes me think of Frankenstein for some reason.

cornsilk · 25/03/2009 09:33

Oh no! I was a fan in the 80's but Tony Hadley was just horrid on that programme a few years ago (can't remember the name) where the 'celebs' had to travel round America and perform. That put me right off.

georgimama · 25/03/2009 09:34

Oh come on! It would be so cool! I'd go and see them - must try and rope my equally sad mate in who will go and see any rubbish - together in the last 3 years we have seen Take That, Ronan Keating (that one was her idea) and Wet Wet Wet!

Yeah, but he did punch Liam Gallagher so he has some good points.

Gosh, I have heard of many reforms but never a Spandeau Ballet reform! Is it going to affect music education in schools? Or dance?

georgimama · 25/03/2009 09:59

Oh "re-form" then!

Pedant!!

my fingers are faster than my keyboard.

cornsilk · 25/03/2009 13:17

He punched Liam Gallagher? I need more info!

georgimama · 25/03/2009 13:58

Yes, apparently Liam Gallagher once started on Tony Hadley in a nightclub. He was really drunk (LM not TH).

He may not look it but TH is well over six foot and to quote the words of the article I read about it (it has stuck in my mind it was so funny) "built like a brick shit house". So he decked him.

I may have misjudged Tony Hadley after all!

twinklylights · 21/10/2009 13:30

Saw Spandau Ballet last night at 02. They were fab and was transported back to my 14 year old self! So much fun!

bigsquirtybloodylips · 29/10/2009 14:48

my friend is going to see them tonite in liverpool

smugmumofboys · 29/10/2009 16:03

I saw them last night in the MEN in manchester and they were really good. Tony Hadley's voice is still amazing.

Martin and Steve are ageing rather nicely too.

Ozziegirly · 30/10/2009 00:58

Kemps are feeders, poor Tony

RubyBooBerry · 30/10/2009 01:05

That's a good one. I saw them in Newcastle on Monday.
Would much rather shag cuddle Tony than the other two! What a hunk of a man, I likes 'em big ....

Ozziegirly · 30/10/2009 01:08

Me too - with the other two Í'd feel like I had to hold my stomach in.

Plus, nice to share some cheese on toast with Tony afterwards.

RubyBooBerry · 30/10/2009 01:12

ROFL!

I know - first hand - that he is the type to get very hot and sweaty.... I'd have to kill you all if I told you how I knew that.. and it's not cos I just saw him on stage ...

Ozziegirly · 30/10/2009 01:32

Pray, do tell.

Maybe just whisper it.....I promise I won't tell anyone how you know.....

RubyBooBerry · 30/10/2009 16:14

I really really cant!

Ozziegirly · 01/11/2009 10:22

ahhh go on go on go on go on go on go on go on...
