When my beloved grandma went into a hospice to die of breast cancer last year, aged 93, she took mascara, chanel body lotion and blusher with her.

She never "let herself go" even to the very last day of her life, and it was incredibly important to her to do this.

It's too much. A bit too in your face. I do think that some coverage such as the wedding is making the public more aware of death as a process though (as well as earning good money for her boys) which is healthy but these photos are too much.

I think that it's great that she makes an effort with her appearance and in some ways i think that this whole sad story is raising awareness big time and therefore possibly saving future lives. it's just not comfortable to watch but why should she go quietly if she dosn't want to.

Death is very much a part of life and nothing to be afraid of or to shy away from. Anyone who has nursed a loved one or seen them die knows that this is where we will all end up.

I think this coverage has been great for the last taboo, which is death, it has made us discuss it with our children, talk about what we would like when we go and face our own mortality which is inevitable.

Lets not forget, we are all dying it is just a case of when.
