Chris and Tash were at the same hotel as DH and I just after New Year and she was absolutely stunning considering she was 37+ weeks pg .

I looked like a whale by that point with all of mine.

I went out for lunch is a v posh restaurant with DH whilst in labour (contractions every 10-15 mins) - I had stilton and walnut pate, and very rare beef. And champagne. It was great.

Slightly more down market but I had dinner with friends while in labour with DS2. Contractions every 15 minutes but when I mentioned it the friends asked 'Does it hurt?' and when I said 'No not really' they said 'Shut up and eat your dinner then'.
I remember the food very well- giant fish cakes, figs with ice cream and large amounts of red wine! Am certain it smoothed the passage of labour. Went to bed at 10 and DS2 was born at 7am. The best part about it was hearing our friends shriek 'You've had the BAAAABBBY????' when DH rang them an hour later .
