I think we need to hire a couple of nice young men to come and tend to our bushes.

We could serve them ice cool drinks and give instructions from our deckchairs.

mummylin2495 · 13/02/2009 22:27

im not having any young mad round my bush thankyou very much ,

Tn0g · 13/02/2009 22:30

I love the colours, very vibrant and punchy.

I can't make out the images very well 'cause I'm totally myopic, but I really like the teenager one, it's striking and strong in it's simplicity.

Pity I missed talcy last night.

Tn0g · 15/02/2009 08:58

Another lovely day here, mild and bright.

G and I have just come back from a walk along the beach, we were both up at 7ish and Molly seemed quite restless so we headed off.

We have friends coming for lunch today which will be lovely.

one of the friends makes and sells clothes at her shop in Dublin so I'll pick her brain and get some handy tips about making my skirt.

Dh and I didn't really bother with valentine's except he made a paper heart garland which he hung up over the bed and I cut his toast into a sort of heart shape at breakfast...not easily done when the bread is burnt.

last year he found a [kind of] heart-shaped pebble on the beach and that was my present, so there's a running theme of no money being spent, but the challenge to think of ideas for token gifts.

Will try and get to see Slumdog [hopefully] during the week if my parents can come over and watch G for a couple of hours. He's on his midterm break which means lots of food, mainly bread, cake and biscuits being wolfed down, lots of loud bangs and crashes and loads of requests to be driven into the town to meet with friends.

anyway, enough of meeeeee, hope ye are all well and fighting fit.

ABloke, get your head out of your arse and come and chat..I'm in Glasgow from the 27th -Ist.

We can't wait till he's 17 and learns to drive, then we can pester him for lifts..ha ha pay-back will be sweet..

Tn0g · 15/02/2009 09:00

That last sentence should have been higher up the page, reads a bit weird

ABloke · 15/02/2009 09:46

we swapped cards. oh asked why we are not "close" anymore....the fell asleep.

Animals still ummmm amorous, the smallest is even trying it on with the dog now, which is highly amusing. I had no idea fluffers were so ermmm amorous.

Our dog is also in season/heat and a big bLACK DOG KEEPS COMING AND SNIFFING AROUND THE oh pants... yes, a dog keeps coming into our garden.

Anyway, I have to left smallest fluffers have a least 2 of these before.... mass production line of fluffers.

Reading back and I think we are all extremely lucky to have each other.

I have a couple of RL friends. One who is v understanding of whole life situation and who does not advise but simply...listens. I like her best.

My other Rl friend is v nice but on another planet, at times.

My other kind-of friend has been in a very abusive relationship, way worse than anything I have had to endure. He has lots of issues from this relationship and at times I have no idea if he/she is talking rubbish or not.

So anyway. Yes we are all lucky. I have no idea what is wrong with Olive as I lost the scutle thread 2 months ago (ish) link please?

Only here for minutes as oh due home v soon. I am being naughty and stretching rules... I never post on Sundays.

This is v short month. It only has 27th and 28th I am supposed to be going out on 27th but have just looked and realise I have both boys this day.

Glasgow is pants. Come to Edinburgh. Or even Stirling./Falkirkshire (half-way) I may feel very sick on 27th and be unable to attend working place?

abloke are you going to be the first in the world to have a cog ?[ cross between dog and cat ] now that i would like to see. Tnog hope you enjoy your friends company today, what you going to feed them ? i have invited dd and gd,s over for dinner later as it will give her a little break.I havent gone to footi today as its a cup game and a bit of travelling and we would have to of gone at 8am !!! on a sunday, not for me im afraid. But dh has gone so gs still has one of us there.see you later x

wotzy · 15/02/2009 11:13

ml - gs images are great, very vibrant and full of hope, I love they way he has taken the image of them near the tree.

Abloke, it's good to see you and hear about your news. We are not very romantic. I think you are lucky Tnog and that you still must have romance in your lives. ml does, look st all those roses.

The iphone was for work and for fun. We don't do romatic valentines. DH is far too practical and got it for me for work. At least we can go off for a few dys break and still be at work. Never mind, that's how it has to be. Dh has also had to put up with all my family visiting and the saga goes on. Now mum has gone. My grown up dsd should be here in the next few days. We have told her about her grandad (my FIL), op on Tues. Good chance he will pull through OK, or have major heart attacj while in theatre. If no op, they've given him less than 12 months to have fatal heart attack. He is not obese, he is healthy and active, but he smokes. DH is an only child. His mum and dad were childhood sweethearts, always together, except during the war. They are coming here for lunch. Haven't told dds about the op and grandad being ill. Its all so sudden. They are off all next week. Do you think I should?

mummylin2495 · 15/02/2009 11:22

i dont think you should let your kids worry about their grandad for a whole week wotz,if you want to tell them, leave it as long as you can .or even till after the op when you can then say grandad has had to have an operation, but its all been done now.et Its very difficult really to know what is best ,only you know your chiuldren.Has your mum gone now then wotz ?

wotzy · 15/02/2009 11:29

She went this morning. Thanks, that's what I thought I'd do. Leave telling them and hope he gets through without any complications.

I was only thinking this morning, how much stuff you have to deal with as you grow older, it becomes more and more. No wonder you hear old folk, saying they are 'tired of this life'. So yes, to delay the dcs from all that stuff that they will face eventually, can't be a bad thing can it.

I'm off to cook lunch now. Back later.

Poor cat hasn't even been fed yet, its staring at me.

mummylin2495 · 15/02/2009 11:31

yes ,there are always so many different things to worry about, but somehow we all cope with them ! women are super humans !!!
