Can't be healthy, surely. She says this morning (on that arbiter of all that's holy) gmtv, that she did it with medically supervised shakes and a diet of 500 calories a day.

I'd love to know if she's planning to keep this up for ever and has given up solids for good.

(not having a go at her, just at the diet industry, grr)

500 cals a day

She will pile it all back on the instant she tries to eat normally as she'll have been in starvation mode.

She did Lighter Life apparently.

TheCrackFox · 13/01/2009 09:43

Not sure I agree with her method but she deserves a medal. Losing 5 stone must be hard work.

CatMandu · 13/01/2009 09:46

I can't think of anything worse than lighter life, but I know someone who thinks is amazing. Can't be healthy though.

GypsyMoth · 13/01/2009 09:50

so she did no exercise too??

whomovedmychocolate · 13/01/2009 09:54

Ummmm yummy shakes

I get the shakes when I eat that little.

I've lost about a stone in a week so I can't really criticise but for me I'm doing the Paul McKenna CD thing and just eating consciously and slowly and I only have another stone and a bit to go. Oh and I will keep it off because I'm resolving the actual reasons for my past overeating rather than just avoiding the issue of food altogether by having food alternatives.

I read the title and wondered if she'd dumped Mr Llewellyn Bowen
Then realised he is a skinny runt but not that skinny

But not before i say congratulations to her

And I'd have to say (begrudingly) hats off to her DH - he never said anything derogatory about her weight when she was 5 stone heavier. They seem a happy couple.

A key part of LL is the counselling which is designed to help you overcome your food/eating demons and put you on the right path for the future.

My sister lost 5 stone on it and looked great but its all back on now. I personally dont agree with any weight loss plan which drastically helps you lose weight by removing the food element but if this is what she needs to make her feel good about herself then at least she should feel chuffed.

I know two people who did Lighter Life and both of them have put all the weight back on.
