I took my test with a raging hangover and passed.

It didn't occur to me that I might still be over the limit.

Hopefully the theroy test now includes something about this.

sounds like rubbish to me, sorry but you do have an examiner in the car with you, really not much room in most cars, so unlikely that examiner would not have noticed the smell of drink on her. sounds like a stupid story to make herself look cool. twat.

I can't see how any qualified and well trained instructor could not have noticed that his client was under the influence TBH. Just sounds like a story made up for the media.

Also, if that had been the case and there was an accident, as described - she would have been breathalised, as the driver, and then arrested under suspicion of drink driving. Wasn't she in S Club round this time? It would have been all over the papers.

Agree, either way she has outed herself as a prat of the highest order. How sad that there are people out there who may look up to her and think she's cool for saying this.

Not quite sure how she managed to crash though as most test cars (unless you are sitting a test in your own vehicle) have dual controls and the examiner is supposed to step in and take over (ie slam on the brakes) if the learner is doing something dangerous like heading towards a parked car.
