Lost soft stuffed dog in Doncaster

Hi, I'm new to mumsnet and feel realy sad that my first posting is asking for help to find my 2 year old son's favourite comforter. He had it on Tuesday 6th January in BHS (2nd floor of the Doncaster Frenchgate Centre) and it had gone by the time we walked over to Next. He is really upset and has cried himself to sleep for the last 2 nights. It is a cream puppy with brown patches, it's about 15" long.
When I asked in Boots they said they had just found a small blue teddy - hope this helps someone else x

Have you got a photo?

Treaclesmum · 08/01/2009 20:12

I probably have one somewhere. I will try to dig one out.

Have you 'registered' the cuddly with lost property in the Frenchgate? My DD lost her comforter in Meadowhall last year and I thought we'd never see it again, esp. as it looks like an old rag to the untrained eye. We told Lost Property at the information desk and they rang us the next day to say the cleaners had found it. Fingers crossed for you...

Thanks, I did leave my number with the customer services desk. Thanks for your help. I've just found a photo - now I have to figure out how to get it on here! Bit of a technophobe!

Do you remember wher eyou orginally bought it? YOu might be able to buy a replacement on Ebay.

Treaclesmum · 10/01/2009 20:33

After searching on ebay and other sites for the last 2 nights and ordering 3 possible replacements we returned to town and retraced our steps again.... The very last shop said they did have a teddy handed in during the week. After several nail biting minutes - we have Patch back! Success!

Oh, so chuffed for you! Your DS's face must have been a picture! Happy to go to bed tonight then?

wotulookinat · 10/01/2009 21:30

Yay! A happy ending

Brilliant!

MY DD was sad yesterday as she remembers losing her Piglet and wants him back. Tried all shops for one and can not encourage her to adopt another one. We had two the same in case of a loss and the one that is left is getting very worn.

Treaclesmum · 13/01/2009 21:09

He has been very happy to go to bed. He even lay in bed 'chatting' to him - so cute!

Have you tried ebay for a Piglet replacement?
