What a thoroughly top guy he is for doing that.

What a lovely guy.

Must have felt quite surreal having Eddie do the whole performance directly to you, though

what a lovley guy!
I love him even more now!

edam · 01/01/2009 17:18

Wow. And how great of him not to talk about it!

He is genuinely a fab guy. When a friend of mine was starting out in stand-up, Eddie took a lot of time and trouble to help her out - even lent her some money when she was completely skint (without expecting anything in return IYKWIM).

I love Eddie Izzard, how great of him and his people not to comment on how wonderful he is (a la Bono)

bluebump · 01/01/2009 17:44

I heart Eddie Izzard!

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 01/01/2009 17:50

I have always loved the old Izzard.

He is always top of my list when asked "strange people that you fancy". Most people go ewwwwwww, no but I note there are a few people with taste on MN that agree with me.

LoveMyLapTop · 01/01/2009 18:46

YEs fucker I think I would!!

bluebump · 01/01/2009 19:05

Me too! Channel 4 have shown Dressed to Kill and Circle lately, both of which i've not seen for ages, it's reawakened my love of Eddie!

SoupDragon · 01/01/2009 19:08

Oh how utterly fabulous!

BrieVinDeAlkaSeltzer · 01/01/2009 19:15

I saw him in "A Day in the life of Joe Egg" a few years ago in the West End. It was wonderful play and revelation the was his talent as a straight up actor.

treedelivery · 01/01/2009 19:20

Have tears in eyes reading the account of the escape, and the simple purity of doing such a thing.

Hormonal pg day, but yay to Eddie!

spicemonster · 01/01/2009 19:23

I want to marry Eddie Izzard
