Just seen Take That on Royal Variety Show and the likeness suddenly struck me.

Also I never used to like Take That 1st time round, but now find myself secretly (whispers) fancying Gary. Is that bad?

That is very very bad! You should be worried. I can't comment on looking like Tom Cruise as I also think Tom is very unfanciable.

I do think Gary is growing into his age though - it's as though he's previously been a middle-aged man uncomfortably trapped in a younger man's body but now he's more comfortable with himself.

(I quite fancy the square-jawed one, but only when he's dancing.)

I think he looks good too, although Howard also looks rather hot. Definite improvement with age all round. Will need to have a good look the next time for TC lookey-likey.

Is Howard the square-jawed one MintChoc? I find it hard to tell the two tall dancy one's apart, one looks like he has needed a wash since they had their original hits and the other has a square jaw and dances in a way that makes me think of horizontal dancing.

I'm 41 and embracing middle-age with gusto. Unless you're expecting to live beyond 100 I think you are empirically in the middle-age region, sorry.

If it helps my mum has only recently admitted to being middle-aged and she's 65. Mind you, her mum is 93 and still going strong so my mum is middle-aged if you assume she's going to live to 120.
