Kevin Federline - isn't it amazing?

Just read the new 'Hello!' and isn't amazing how the whole public perception of Kevin Federline Britney Spears's ex-husband) has been turned around, or perhaps the perception (media spin) was just bollox?

Maybe I am just projecting but don't their kids look so much more comfortable a happy with him?

I'm not a Britney basher at all but I suppose people (like me) forget he is their primary carer and perhaps all that guff about him being some kind of devil incarnate a few years ago was balloney!

maybe he has grown up

beanieb · 12/12/2008 23:31

yeah - probably.

my post was a bit wordy and crap. I mean, he just seems like a really nice guy and perhaps he was all along.

don't forget he did dump his pregnant gf.
but maybe all the crap has been a wake up call.

neenztwinz · 12/12/2008 23:35

I think Britney just wants to be loved and she thought he would love her... I think he loved the fame and money - he probably loves those kids too but also had one on the way with another woman when he got with Britney. Not the actions of a nice bloke. But yes he has probably grown up now.

2AdventSevenfoldShoes · 12/12/2008 23:38

but she knew this
so they were well suited.

neenztwinz · 12/12/2008 23:46

She is very dim tho. Nice but dim.

beanieb · 12/12/2008 23:54

or maybe he really did love britney and things weren't good with the ex?

The ex has never really slagged him off has she? Perhaps there is dignity in both of them?

Why do you think that dittany?

Apart from the slightly crass bit at the end of the hello! interview where he plugged his own clothes line he seemed a nice guy. Though I know these mags are quite fawning, specially Hello!

I think it's just the pictures mainly. The kids look comfortable, more so than they do wit their mum, but that's probably expected given that he is the primary carer.

Britany has been used since the day she was born, by her mum, dad, management, men, its all she knows. Federline is by all accounts a complete tit, but he has turned into a good father, maybe it was a case of he had to be the bigger person, Brit was in melt down. But he still saw $$$$ signs when he married her, no if or buts there, not from where Im stood, but hes certainly been the main stay in those kids lives, so good for him.

neenztwinz · 13/12/2008 00:04

I enjoyed the documentary/interview on Sky with Britney last week but I did wonder why is she putting so much effort into her career when if I was her I'd be putting all mu effort into getting those kids back?

beanieb · 13/12/2008 00:04

Why do you think he was in it for the money from the start?

I'm starting to think both her father and ex stepped up for her when she needed it.

OP posts:
beanieb · 13/12/2008 00:07

neenztwinz - perhaps she doesn't want them 'back', perhaps she just wants equal custody and that's something she will get when she proves she has sorted herself out since her breakdown and going back to work may be part of that?

OP posts:
Simplysally · 13/12/2008 00:26

Neenztwinz - Britney doesn't have a choice as when she had her breakdown, shaved her head etc her father got control of her life so legally she has no rights as to choosing to work or not. She's not even allowed to make calls to friends unsupervised due this legal order. Apparently he is making her perform when perhaps another father would be keeping her out of the limelight so she could get better.

He didn't 'take' them

OP posts:
beanieb · 13/12/2008 00:41

and I amnot picking over her 'downfall'. She has clearly had some mental health issues to deal with and her sons are looked after and she has access. I'm hoping everyone around her is doing their best, including her kids dad.

OP posts:
Pantofino · 13/12/2008 00:46

I'm not sure what the point is? So Britney was not coping obviously. So he stepped up and was a dad? So should he be considered super for looklng after his own children?

I thought that this kind of thing was to be encouraged?

He took her to court because clearly she was having troubles, I think given those circumstances it was the best thing for the kids, don't you?

Why automatically assume it was for teh money?

I am not saying anything said about him is bollox but that perhaps there was a lot of media spin. When Britney was well he was the loser husband, now that she's recovering from a really bad breakdown it's nice to see that he has stepped up for her and the kids.

This 'it can't be true because he's a man abd she's rich' stuff is really quite ditasteful.

I wasn't shredding Britney anywhere, you show me where I have at any point in this thread.

You're wierd.

neenztwinz · 13/12/2008 12:23

So in America your father can take control of your life and make you work even if you don't want to?

izyboy · 13/12/2008 13:23

Poor Britters doesn't know any other way of life. She's been working that Horse n' Pony show since she was a kid. It actually seems healthy that she wanted a family for herself and to take a backseat. Unfortunately for her living in the circus as she does she was only ever going to attract freaks like Federline the 'pimp' to her 'maid.' He left his pregnant girlfriend and kid for THAT golden ticket. He is unfortunately a 'user' very clearly.

izyboy · 13/12/2008 13:25

Oh, and I am pretty sure that it is the nannies that are bringing up those kids NOT Federline.
