something i have been thinking about ever since it was announced that a woman with a four month old is going to run for president. obvioulsy she isnt breast feeding. but is she even taking the baby with her? has she evens een the baby, oterh than for photo ops?
do many woman with four month olds go take on jobs that are 24/7?

I'm sorry, but this should be in sleb twaddle.
It isn't really anyone else's business.
She is an arsehole for any number of reasons, not least the "Gee, I'm a Mom!" crap, but I don't care how she's feeding her kid.

stitch · 04/11/2008 09:23

yes, thats true. it should be in sleb twaddle.
do you think mnhq could move it?

she is really scaring the crap out o f me right now.

i thought htat had been discounted?
wasnt her daughter meant tobe five months pregnant when the baby was four months old?

There are nannies. She gets off the plane with baby and then hands it to a nanny at the bottom of the plane steps. Many royals and slebs do the same thing.

stitch · 04/11/2008 09:43

yes, but the campaign trail is mega mega mega hectic. whilst no doubt the royals work very hard, and slebs do too, it isnt quite the same commitment as the campaing trail.
i dont think anything is

Is it rude to hope that she will be spending more time with the family soon? I don't wiash any ill will towards her baby. Just that his mother isn't Vice president....

mabanana · 04/11/2008 11:20

THe baby hunts its own moose, which it then purees, dontcha know? This is Alaska. They don't mollycoddle there.
Still, hopefully Palin will have plenty of time to spend with her family very soon.

nickytwotimes · 04/11/2008 11:21

Now, THAT is baby lead weaning.

nickytwotimes · 04/11/2008 11:21

led

Freckle · 04/11/2008 11:22

Makes a mockery of her "Gee I'm a mom" crap if she only holds the baby when leaving the plane. More like, "Gee, I'm a mom with a plethora of nannies and other helpers".

cmotdibbler · 04/11/2008 11:23

I did see something where she was talking about her breast pump and bf the baby.

Can't stand the womans politics, but all power to her for showing that you can do politics as a woman with a young family. And y'know no one comments on Tony Blair, Gordon Brown etc jetting off without their family.

stitch · 04/11/2008 12:33

tony blair was not expected to breastfeed leonard.
you cant compare the two sexes. not when it comes to four month old babies.

OP posts:
sorkycake · 04/11/2008 12:38

I hope she gets a bloody big culture shock when she's back in Alaska without the plethora of nannies.
I can't stand the women, she's like the daily mail on legs.

francagoestohollywood · 04/11/2008 12:38

The thought of how/what sarah palin is feeding her baby has never crossed my mind. I don't care. That woman keeps guns in her house. Scaaaaaaaaaaaaary.

MatNanPlus · 04/11/2008 18:28

Given the baby's SN who is doing the nitty gritty stuff!!

Why shouldn't she work and have a goal and a career? You all sound prehistoric!

So her youngest is 4 months ish and she has a nanny. Plenty of mum's on here and across the world head back to work and have childcare or rely on family help. Just because she's in the public eye doesn't mean she shouldn't be working.

Further, she could be expressing or perhaps her little boy's disability/special need means breastfeeding wasn't possible.

You shouldn't judge someone when you don't know them/have not met them.
