With the added bonus of being able to luxuriate in the sleb twaddle and indulge in a good dose of judgemental hatred. So AIBU?

I did it a few weeks back for the AllSaints one. I felt filthy

childrenofthecornsilk · 18/10/2008 23:22

you will be okay if you go in disguise. Do not go into your local shop.

MOrticiaAdams · 18/10/2008 23:28

I did the same for a McFly CD! Obviously for DD, not me! My reasoning was I'd do anything for my little girl!

Carmenere · 18/10/2008 23:36

Oh that is a good one Mo, do you think dd should be introduced to Tina? I mean she is 4 now...

YANBU.

It's like unblocking a toilet with your hands.

You only do it if you really, really have too.

It's vile while it lasts, but you do get a sense of achievement and relief once you've done it.

Oh, and obviously you'll need to bleach your hands afterwards.

MOrticiaAdams · 18/10/2008 23:40

Well, you better do it soon. Tina's not getting any younger and it would be a shame for her not to know her music whilst she still has the opportunity to see her live!

mybabysinthegarden · 18/10/2008 23:43

I did it for the All Saints one and felt a little let down by the All Saints and the sleb twaddle... sigh... (wonders if I still have my tape copy of the Tina Turner album kicking around...)

childrenofthecornsilk · 18/10/2008 23:45

you are all so fickle, tempted to go over to the dark side by trinkets.

mamalovesmambo · 18/10/2008 23:46

you dirty two timing mummy - may you be infested by the fleas of a thousand camels {grin]

mamalovesmambo · 18/10/2008 23:47

correction [grin ]

childrenofthecornsilk · 18/10/2008 23:47
Grin
MOrticiaAdams · 18/10/2008 23:47

I didn't read the paper - I lined my food waste bin with it! Win/win situation, I think!

childrenofthecornsilk · 18/10/2008 23:47

(amateur)

mamalovesmambo · 18/10/2008 23:47

Oh FFS, up yer bum, right 3rd time!

childrenofthecornsilk · 18/10/2008 23:48

Morticia that's a likely story.

Carmenere · 18/10/2008 23:48

Well naturally I will be slashing my self all over with shards of glass and rubbing salt in the resultant wounds. And buying the Observer too...

Maybe it knows it is such an awful paper that bribery is the only way people will buy it

MOrticiaAdams · 18/10/2008 23:49

Tis true! Oh, to have time to sit and read anything on a Sunday!

childrenofthecornsilk · 18/10/2008 23:50

I have more respect for you now carmenere. you know it's the right thing to do.

snice · 18/10/2008 23:54

Am more shocked at liking Tina Turner enough to want a CD than Daily Mail to be honest

Carmenere · 19/10/2008 00:05

Yes I was waiting for someone to notice that particular brand of shame snice But I certainly don't like her enough to buy her album. I am reasoning that there might be a time in my life (tuesday morning) when I want to make cornbread (great recipe in the recipe section) that I might like to listen to what the old people used to listen to in the 80's

I can do a great Tina Turner dance.

snice · 19/10/2008 00:09

To do a great Tina Turner dance you just have to pretend you're trying to shake a small piece of poo out of your pants

childrenofthecornsilk · 19/10/2008 00:09

That's excellent advice. (takes notes)
