It's tough isn't it

for all of you

Hard to imagine what's going on in his mind, apart from obvious addiction

so so sad

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 22:36

Oh is he having a party?

God, I bet you can't believe he's going to be 18

they grow-up in the blink of an eye

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:38

yes it is and he isnt getting much support from his mum or anyone on his side of the family, its tough for them all ,him included.I dont know what the outcome will be ,but hope that he will eventually be able to beat his addiction for himself and for his family.he is such anice person, although i know that sounds odd,but when he isnt drinkinghe is one of the nicest people you could meet. But he crossed the line when he attacked dd and he threatened her again 3 weeks ago ,so he had to go for now

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:39

yes ,hotel has been booked for him and his dad as its my ds birthday the next day.gs birthday 1st dec ,ds is 2nd dec.he came around the day after he passed his driving tet and took me up to my brothers ! now i worry about him being on the roads !

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:41

they have told dd,s partner that all his problems are caused by drink, and that includes his anger.

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 22:41

he's reached rock botom so hopefully with proper conselling and ongoing help he'll start to manage his addiction.

DD must be in bits

she loves him so much and yet can't be with him because of demon drink and what it does to him

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:43

thats exactly it tnog ,she is scared when he gets in a rage,in case he lashes out at her again. But he knows what he did was wrong and alsoadmits that dd and the two girls shouldnt have to live like that.He has got steadily worse over the last 4 yrs, before that he was just your average drinker.

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 22:43

It's great gs can drive

I remember when I passed at 18, so excited that I could anywhere I wanted,, well nearly,

drove far too fast though

but I'm sure gs will be careful

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:44

he only has two choices,as they have already told him the state of his liver.theysaid if he didnt stop drinking he would die within two years

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 22:45

It's so tragic

He must be so unhappy

lots of hurt deep down maybe

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:45

i hope he will tnog. But you know what these young drivers are like.especially with mates in the car.we have all spoken to him about the dangers ,i just hope he listened and took it in

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:47

yes ,there is something to do with his mum that none of us know about ,apparently he has asked her some questions and she refused to answer him .he has never told dd what it is that bothers him

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 22:48

I reckon he's pretty sensible and won't go mad driving like a lunatic

but I'm dreading G getting to that age

he's going to be a strange mix of wild but sensitive

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 22:49

God the poor fella

Why do people screw their kids up?

and the ripple effect on your dd and the children and on you

It's just awful

a waste of life

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:50

i have dreaded it too tnog ,its becasue i care so much for him ,i couldnt bear for him to get hurt. It is very worrying .When m ds pssed his test he too was only 17 and he used to go off and not come home all night ,i would lie awake thinking he was in a ditch or something, whereas dd always rang me to let me know where she was,Now its ds,s turn to worry !

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 22:52

payback for your ds
for all the years of worry he gave you

That happens to us all doesn't it

we become our parents

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:53

well i cant help worrying about her now because i know how frightened she was that awful night, and again when they came here two weeks ago.But they still love each other and so hopefully that will help them in the future ,i just hope he dosent choose drink.

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 22:54

dd and gds and dds partner are all lucky to have your love and support

and please God he'll kick the addiction

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:54

yes your right ,itis payback. When my kids were small they used to tell me" when i have children i wont make them to this/ that ,but of course now they find themselves saying exactly what i said ,its funny really .

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:56

i dont like what he did to dd at all ,but i dont hate him.But if if happened again i dont know what i would think to be honest.

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 22:57

lolo

I know it's a bit bloody scary ho you morph into your mother

I say things or do something and think oh God it's my mother talking

scary

I always thought I'd be such a cool laid-back mother

instead I'm a shrieking harridan who gets stressed by everything

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 22:58

oh i forgot to tell you ,yes my henry has a very long hose with a brush at the end of it

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 22:59

I know M

I'd want to throttle him for hurting my child

but that wouldn't really help either

very difficult emotionally

also it's their relationship whih limits you a bit

MummyTheQueenOfDarkness · 21/10/2008 23:00

ha ha ha ,we are all the same tnog ,we all say we are going to do things a lot different, but of course in the end we domany things the same as our mums. i just have to type a letter for dh ,it wil take him two hours to do it himself !

Tn0g · 21/10/2008 23:01

Oooooooh

a brush you say?

very unusual
