On the DM they call them PPT and say he's threatened to take his life if this comes out. Rather manipulative.

Yeah, just found it on the "Culture" section.

Oh here we go again. It's always a man. It's always about sex one way or another. And they always say they will kill themselves if xyz. Bore off sex pest.

Askandyforcompo · 27/10/2026 19:31

You have to feel sorry for his child. And his poor mum who he's touted round as a front for him being an absolute cunt.

If he truly is suicidal can he not be sectioned? He's refusing to engage with mental health services but being sectioned is the answer to that. Or maybe it doesn't work like that

I work with people who are often suicidal, they dont get sectioned generally speaking. Im always amazed when I hear about people getting sectioned quite easily/quickly on here.

I don't care who it is but I am so fucking angry that someone thinks they should be able to hide their identity due to privilege.

Because it is privilege - most people couldn't afford to take it to court.

And then it is privilege that they think that their choice to risk to their life outweighs the lives of the people they have hurt- these people might feel suicidal due to what has happened to them.

And it is privilege to argue not that you didn't do it, but that you have the right to do what you want in your own life.

Section them - we can not live in a world where people are allowed to do as they please by using a get out of jail free card.

ohhhlttm · 27/10/2026 20:32

I remember seeing a woman on X a few years ago with a huge tattoo of the man in question, she has his face on her arm, it covers her entire arm. Wondering now if she still has it or is going to get it covered up with something else. Hearing about this made me remember it. Must have cost a small fortune to get it done as well.

You would have a point if it was a criminal matter which was being hidden, has he been arrested/charged and is that what is being hidden?

My understanding is these are claims in a newspaper.

I dont really agree with that

Report to the police and let the process take its course.

No. It is DW. This has been reported on in the US and disclosed as far back as August. Maybe earlier depending on previous legal disputes. We’re definitely alone in Little Britain when it comes to censorship.

This.

Who cares if he said he would kill himself. Imagine how his victims feel. Bet he wasn’t giving a shiny shit about whether THEY would kill themselves after the abuse.

ItsABatFaceThing · 27/10/2026 21:55

Regarding DJ - I saw and heard what he said with my own eyes and ears. He was on the one show some years ago and I happened to be watching. He made a joke about not bending down around him when on set and if you were a woman. Just came out with it and was laughing.

so it’s not a rumour. He said that. And of course it could be taken as some sort of joke from the era of Bernard manning but hmmmmn

Beckham and Gary Linekar have super injunctions out in the UK I believe.

So does Mr Schofield. No idea what about though.

I would LOVE to know the Linekar one. I can guess the Beckham one.

As much as I fully agree, I think this is slightly different to be fair. He has bipolar disorder, and severe depression, he first attempted suicide in his teens,. He also suffers severe anxiety, self loathing and insomnia. He is very mentally unwell, so I don’t think this is as simple as he is threatening suicide to stop it, more it is a very real risk he will succeed, his life is genuinly at risk. He’s tried twice in recent months, he is very very unwell.

however the judge and posters are corect, there is services available to prevent it, and help he can access. But a determined person will succeed.

his lawyers are using this as a way to stop it, and I don’t think that’s right,if he’s a suicide risk, which I don’t doubt he is, and a very real one at that, then he should be sectioned.

but I also need to balance that with the fact these are allegations. If there are criminal allegations it needs to be handled by the police, not the media. And people will read it and assume it’s true, it will be trial by media.

if The judge says it can be published then his lawyers can potentially appeal if they can show the judge applied the law wrong. So it could go on.past end of Oct.

i think the judge has a difficult decision, his job is purely to apply the law. Whomever it is beinf unwell is something that can’t sway his decision,

I hate to be ‘that’ person but he’s attempted suicide (according to this thread) what; 3 times now? Probably more attempts we don’t know about? If you are certain you want to end your life, you can absolutely do it with near 100% success.

I have to be honest and say people with repeated ‘attempts’ seem to fall into either the ‘lonely’ bracket where they do it for care and attention (no judgement, you must feel very abandoned to do that), OR the ‘manipulative’ bracket as described by so many on this thread.

In short I don’t believe he has actually sincerely and truly tried to end his life 3+ times, it may well be a tactic he uses when things aren’t going his way. Like now.

I cant comment on him specifically but I dont wholly agree with what you say in general. Some repeated suicide attempts are behavioural, not MH related and therefore, cant really be stopped or treated, we do see this in young people quite a lot

But there is a terrible thread running at the moment about someone who is very depressed, feels they are not really being adquately treated and has made countless attempts, its very distressing and visceral for sufferers.
