As far as I know, this is already the case? Except for refugees and ILR holders.

Then is quite clearly is not the case!

icouldholditwithacobweb · 13/10/2026 21:11

We need to legislate for big companies prioritising consumer health and interests over profits for shareholders, because big companies are literally ruining the world and people's lives in so many ways (eg, creating 'food' that isn't food, using our limited fresh water supplies to cool down massive data centres full or servers, agricultural chemicals depleting soil quality to the point where we have relatviely few harvests left & killing off the very organisms we need for food production etc)

People should take & pass an exam before they can become parents, because the lack of personal responsibility and the decline in standards for acceptable behaviour is shocking

Personal wealth needs to be limited, because nobody needs to be a billionaire. If you love building companies for the sake of it, great - but your personal wealth can be capped at say $100 million and then the rest gets used to benefit the world or society or something (obviously this would never happen & who would implement it, but still)

MPs, cabinet members etc do not get paid until they can demonstrate they've actually done something productive & for the good of society in their roles. Hopefully this would eliminate some of the self-interested power-hungry dickheads who go into politics for the power

We can sit on our hills with our shotguns at the ready 😂

Can I join you, singing 'I've got a little list' from The Mikado, except my list might run into quite a few pages!

LazyCrazyAndStupid · 13/10/2026 21:15

There are some very strange and some surprisingly nasty people around (my evidence is this thread).

That hitting infants, toddlers and children is never right.

I feel sorry for people who say sex is overrated, what a sad life you must have lived. What about masturbation, is that overrated as well?

Dying on those hills with you. Though I don't think botox initially makes people look older, after time/migration it does, though. Think it makes many people look much worse, however, but each to their own.

My other hills I will be gladly dying on;

  • Changing gender is impossible and thinking you can do so is lunacy
  • Nobody actually likes matcha, it's just one big inside joke to make everyone else think they're losing their minds
  • Alcohol should not be served at kids parties under any circumstances (after a recent incident)

I love matcha and drink it daily.

I went to my daughter's friends party, was invited by mum, they were 9 years old.
Dad gave me a cup of what I thought was apple juice.
It tasted disgusting, went to mum and said I think the apple juice has gone off, she was so angry, she didn't realise her husband was serving the adults, beer in plastic kids cups!
With toddlers and small kids about.
Because my mind couldn't accept there was disgusting cheap beer at a kids party, I genuinely didn't realise what it was 😅
After awhile I also realised that dad was falling over

NHS workers are ‘heroes’ in the same way farmers are ‘heroes’
Farmers are ‘feeding the nation’ so they should apparently be prioritised on the roads but you wouldn’t let the van driver out of a junction who might be delivering fertiliser or medicine to the farm in order to keep ‘feeding the nation’.
‘Nhs workers are heroes’ is just toxic government Covid spiel. They are people doing a job like anyone else doing a job.

Jdemam · 13/10/2026 21:18

The monarchy should be abolished. It’s archaic, undemocratic and actually a human rights violation to the children born into it who have no choice but to become public figures and suffer that hellish life of scrutiny from birth. They do NOT bring in more money through tourism, that’s a ridiculous argument spouted by bootlicking dopes who still believe in it. If you’re a big royalist I assume you’re of below average intelligence with no critical thinking skills.

got to say I am loving the bonkersness of this thread.

I'm ageist for getting irritated at being told by a pensioner that the reason I'm homeless is because of coffee and netflix. This pensioner was given a 3 bed council house at the age of 19 and bought it with a 100% mortgage and sold it at such a massive profit he bought a house outright and regularly tells me he was "mortgage free and retired at my age but then he knew how to prioritise" Being deeply hurt by out of touch insensitive comments is ageist and if you clap back you are spiteful.

AleaEim · 13/10/2026 21:19

And alcohol should always be served at children’s parties where adults are around. Why not?

No idea why I’m even bothering to reply as your posts dismiss an entire group of 1.8 billion people as terrorists but no, Allah is not an anthropomorphism of man.

Islamic theology strictly believes Allah is unlike man, that He has no physical form, limbs, body or resemblance to humans.

In Islamic theology, the use of the pronoun "He" , is not an indication of gender, physical form, or human traits. Every noun and pronoun must be grammatically masculine or feminine; there is no neutral or genderless pronoun like "it" in Arabic.

True colours? Find me a suicide bomber that wasn’t a Muslim and come back to me.

Keep digging. Do you say hello to your Muslim neighbours with that mouth?

And there are plenty of non-Islamist bombers, look up the Tamil Tigers and educate yourself.

Also Richard III had nothing to gain from killing the prices in the tower. Are you telling me that Henry would have come over to kill Richard just to give the crown back to Eddy VI

Henry's mother, Margaret Beaufort, has always been on my radar regarding the Princes in the Tower, she was the original tiger mum and she was astute enough to realise that while they lived her son's tenuous claim to the throne was threatened.

Oh, like the Japanese kamikaze pilots during WW2? Or perhaps you mean Paul Harold Orgeron? The Dutch soldiers fighting against Koxinga? Do you want to hear about some more? I've got all night...

Woahtherehoney · 13/10/2026 21:22

That there’s a scam out there for everyone and the people that sit there thinking “well I’d never get scammed” absolutely will get scammed

Thanks Roberta. The jumped from anthropomorphism to suicidal bombers without any logic and derailed the thread.

Ripped jeans that cost more than intact jeans. Paying extra for less fabric is an economic mystery.

I seem to recall how Harrods would not allow shoppers wearing ripped jeans into the store, even if the offending jeans had been bought in Harrods!

Why not use ‘she’ then ?
Islam is renowned for treating its women with god like reverence after all?

Islamic theology also pretends its religion is about peace but it’s not really so peaceful in reality is it.
The virgins that radical Muslims will be rewarded with in the afterlife for carrying out the will of Allah, these virgins are not humans then? What are they? Chimpanzees?

’Allah is not anthropomorphised’ - BS
