I agree with this completely. As someone with AuDHD, and diagnosed as an adult, but had serious struggles and a different label every time I saw a different psychiatrist. Having a diagnosis has helped me accept who I am and stop struggling and fighting myself all the time. And hopefully let me receive the correct therapy.

But just imagine how much worse they would be if there were no legal consequences at all for their law breaking?
(I suppose more of them would probably kill themselves on the roads but they would also kill lots of other people. The law does serve a purpose in that respect. )

I learned some rudimentary sign language a few years ago because we had a young boy with additional needs joining our school from a different country so pretty much unable to communicate with his peers or teachers at the start, now had there been a sort of international S/L it would have helped no end, presuming that his parents would have readied him for the move prior of course

Me and my children are currently homeless and have been in temporary accommodation for 2 and half years, through no fault of my own and my elderly stepfather regularly helpfully rattles on about how the only reason people these days struggle to buy a house is because they don't prioritise. This is a man who left home and got a 3 bed council house all to himself at 19. Which he bought at a discount with a 100% Mortgage as a trainee mechanic and of course sold for a hell of a lot more than he paid and made such a fat profit he bought his next house outright and obviously that council house was gone for someone else. It may have been above board but I will never have the same opportunities he had and he refuses to accept that today no single 19 year old man would breeze into the council office and get handed any kind of property today, never mind a 3 bed house, and you can't just get to your boss to write a letter for your bank manager to help you get a mortgage. So yes, I hate that sneering smug attitude that I have been on the receiving end of. I do apologise you don't like that and think it's ageist.
