Yes, it’s a slightly dubious source but I wonder how true it is. Families with one girl and one boy come second, apparently!

It was a survey of 2000 families so not exactly extensive research, and one thing that made them a happier family was that girls helped round the house.

Interesting that your title is all about girls but you expect others to focus on something else? m

That’s because that was the title of the link I saw on Instagram!

I have a boy and a girl so no dog in the race.

@SaltyandSweet is it? Or only child bashing (two boys happier than them!) or large family bashing (two boys happier than them?)

I found it faintly amusing. I sent it to my friend who has two girls and she responded with ‘yes unless one touches something the other wants’!

I find this kind of thing really tedious. Competitive parenting in disguise. It’s also a load of rubbish.

I know some don’t get on but I work with end of life clients and if a person has no spouse and child it’s usually a sibling there at the death bed. Time after time. The sibling bond goes deep. Brothers too.

I find these things amusing because the level of generalising makes these sorts of conclusions a bit silly. Two girls, two boys, one of each... family dynamics depend far more on the actual children and parents involved than on the sex combination. Otherwise we are basically doing horoscope-level sociology with children no? 😂FWIW, I have two boys (this is probably obvious lol) and find them to be wonderful and life to be good
