Lighthearted - Save the discontinued product!

A few weeks ago I was looking for the block of Emmental I’ve been buying at my local Sainsbury’s for years. Wasn’t there. A helpful member of stuff showed me it had been moved to a section at the end of the aisle, together with what seemed to be an eclectic mix of items.

Today the exact same scenario happened and the poor Emmental wasn’t at the end of the aisle either. Very friendly member of staff tells me that when they go to the end of the aisle it’s pretty much game over for them. Next step is the product being discontinued.

Could I have saved the Emmental, I wonder? Had I purchased it aggressively over the last few weeks?

I guess we’ll never know. Off I trot to Lidl.

Yes, they were the best. I used to mix them with a couple of spoonfuls of all bran, then I could kid myself they weren’t that unhealthy 😂

Having recently had a cold I am once again lamenting original (sugary) Ribena. A hot Ribena was always my go to when I felt poorly.

Muller Light have changed their design and packs. It used to be mango/ passionfruit, peach/passionfruit and mandarin - 2 of each. The new packs have 3 of the mango and 3 of the peach. No mandarin and they were my favourites!!

i buy a wedge from Tesco online every 2 or 3 weeks, but it was only available on slices for a while.

Walkers ready salted ridged crisps. Low calorie and kept me going through serious illness.

Knorr Stir It Up Fajita paste. Wee jar, purple lid. It’s been YEARS but I’m still not over it. I’m a bloody good cook but I’ve yet to find a recipe that matches it.

Novea lotion for normal skin, there's nothing else like it. Really wish I'd known it was going to be discontinued, as I'd have stocked up. Can't find anything that works the same as a combined cleanser/moisturiser, or that leaves my skin feeling as comfortable. It was my skincare essential. I think you can still get it on ebay, but at silly prices.

I've thought of some more. Touch of Taste concentrated bouillon in little bottles, and Oxo Chinese/Italian stock cubes.
