Old toys you wish were still available

Just spent twenty minutes trying to find a tiny piano keyboard toy for my kids for their stockings this year. I had one when I was little and I LOVED it! It was probably only about four of five inches big and came with a little song book. Has anyone seen these or do they just not exist any more?

Are there any other retro toys we all fondly remember but can no longer get?

Plasticraft was my favourite, I would encapsulate anything small that didn’t move in plastic. I’m sure it wouldn’t pass Health&Safety now.
I had a gorgeous Galt Post Office, I loved Fuzzy Felt, especially the circus and, being a cultured family, we had a Pollocks Toy Theatre with Shakespeare plays.
I have a recently purchased Sweep puppet, he has a big following on FB, and a few Sweep t-shirts which I always get asked about.

Just remembered, I had this as a small child.

Ooh you lucky thing, I would've loved one of those!

Fuzzy Felts, loved those sets too

Proper Sindy dolls & the house with all the furniture. I collect them & have several original dolls from the era I had them as a child, I've also got some of the new ones that came on sale a couple of years ago, they aren't a patch on the original ones. I would love it if someone brought the original ones back with proper covered joints & the lovely outfits we used to be able to buy.

I had Sindy dolls, and then our babysitters who were two teenage sisters really kindly gave me all their dolls and outfits when I was about 6 and they were 14 and 16. Lots of them were handmade by their mother and granny I think, but they were lovely.

I've no idea what happened to them, but I guess my mother threw them away at some point. I loved Sindy so much more than Barbie.

I remember these but I think it was a toy I 'inherited' from an older sibling. They are in Smyths Toy Store this year!!!

I loved my Plasticraft kit. You could make paperweights, keyrings and erm… stuff with a plastic resin that smelt like glue with sea shells and bits of dried plants. I used to love sniffing it before sniffing glue was an issue

My DDs had a toy that was like a toddler height table with a fan in it. There were then various attachments you could put on outlets on the table and the air flow did things like making a fan turn or making balls in a clear attachment hover. You could also stack some of the attachments and then they had to share the airflow, so worked slower.

It was a deeply satisfying to play with, but gradually broke - probably why it isn't still made.
