Tesco Clubcard - it's become so crap, what to spend vouchers on?

How rubbish is Tesco Clubcard now?! 😩
I used to save my vouchers up and spend them on Denby, but they’re no longer a partner. In the past I’ve also used them for jewellery bits, but that doesn’t seem to be an option anymore either.
The choice of rewards seems so poor now, unless you want a magazine subscription or to have your car washed.
Or am I missing some really good options? I’ve got about £80 in vouchers, so it’s not exactly life changing money, but I’d still like to spend it on something nice rather than just use it against the weekly shop.
What are you all spending your Clubcard vouchers on these days?

I still use mine on days out. Not as good as in the past when it was 4x value, but better value than on shopping. Recently got two tickets to Warwick castle and previously used them on London Eye, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Blenheim Palace and some other places. In good old days when they were 4x and the kids were little, we used to buy Legoland annual passes.

I totally agree.

Previously clubcard paid for:

A 6 month old car
3 wk SC holiday for 3 in NZ
2 week HB for 4 in Maldives
Return flights for 4 to Hong Kong
4 nights 5* hotel, business class flights for 2 to Prague.

Now i use it to buy my children a Railcard each and book overpriced hotel rooms on the Tesco link to hotels.com

Tesco lost my custom, and lots of other MSEr's, when they downgraded the scheme. But it was good whilst it lasted.

SisSuffragette · 05/10/2026 08:32

You get triple value at pizza express so we take the children there 3 or 4 times a year, usually after one of their drama shows

bestbefore · 05/10/2026 08:48

I use them for Cineworld (but can’t see how you use the vouchers in the Cineworld app), a sub to good housekeeping and have bought railcards for student child before. Might get the 2 together one actually.
Also got radio times sub for parents too

Thanks everyone! I’ve never heard of challenges either but looked on the app and they are there so I’ll see if I can get some points that way as well

Use them for Eurotunnel or ferry cost - we have a campervan so it works well for us. This year our Eurotunnel would have been £600 if we had bought it outright

I've been shopping with Tesco and using their clubcard for 40 years and never heard of 'challenges'. I've looked on my account and there doesn't appear to be any mention of the. Hmm

Do you actually save money on Eurotunnel? I looked at using mine on Stena but it takes you through a different booking system with different prices...

We use ours on Stena. Annoyingly you can only use a maximum amount on certain routes. The special Tesco fare is the same price as the flexi fare, so not the cheapest, so instead of saving e.g. £100, it’s more like £70… better than nothing though. It also still works with some discount codes if you remember to put them in on the first page.

Not ever heard of the challenges before though - off to take a look!

Me neither. Just googled and it seems it only goes out to certain customers and you need to have opted into their marketing to be eligible. Also need to have an up to date version of the app. I have just switched on and updated to see what I get in the next few weeks.

BeUmberMember · 05/10/2026 15:25

I used mine for a senior railcard and a senior coach card every year. Saves buying them full price and massive savings on journeys. You can also get Family Railcards, Young persons railcards and others.

I used to get invited by email before I had the app, I still get email invites actually

handsdownthebest · 06/10/2026 23:44

I only collect points and spend them on champagne

I’ve done the same. I’m waiting eagerly for some challenges to come my way

It's not very exciting, but if you spend a lot there it's worth trying . You have a chance to earn up to £50 worth of points over 6 weeks by shopping in certain certain categories , you get to pick 10 categories out of a choice of 20 that they offer to collect from. If you have a big family you'll do better as you're obviously spending more so will hit the targets more easily. I only average between £5 - £11 each time but it's better than nothing. You don't get chosen every time, I've had the " sorry not this time" email twice this year.

waltzingparrot · 07/10/2026 14:03

We got ferry tickets and went to the Isle of Wight.

ScaramoucheCanYouDoTheFandango · 13/10/2026 13:33

Just called RAC as I couldn't work out how to apply any Tesco Clubcard vouchers to my renewal before it came off my credit card (I hadn't changed my clubcard vouchers to RAC vouchers yet until I knew what to do).

The guy got that fed up with me asking what to do he just halved my RAC renewal price to save the hassle of working out how to do it 🙈🤣

So I saved £110 on my renewal and still have my Tesco Clubcard vouchers 👍
