What food and drink do you buy from Amazon?

It's never occurred to me to buy food from Amazon but a friend put me on to it and am now wondering what else I've missed out on.

So far I have oat milk, 24 can pack of ice tea, J2O cans, pumpkin spice syrup and dried fruit snacks. So much cheaper than in supermarkets.

Big boxes of drink cans mainly at christmas.
I have all big supermarkets with 10 mins drive so I am quite lucky

Amazon will only be happy when everyone buys everything from them, lining their greedy pockets ever further. Shame on you.

Omg. You surely realise that loads of small independent businesses also sell on Amazon?! If not, the shame is on YOU!

Chewbecca · 04/10/2026 09:41

Nothing as I avoid Amazon as much as possible.

Glad to see fellow shameless Amazon fans. Also, @SourdoughSally isn't this you?

😆😆😆😆

I used to sell on Amazon. Single mum in a HA flat, UC top up, etc. I'm hardly a member of the 1%.

As others have pointed out many small businesses use Amazon. Yes, they take a cut but without Amazon I never would have made a single sale.

I is shamed

Grow up. Once Amazon have everyone tied into Prime - for TV, books, shopping, groceries, music etc, what do you think they'll do? Lower prices? No, there'll be virtually no competition so they can charge what they like.

I find it hard to believe that people are stupid enough to not realise this or selfish enough not to care

Temu have given them a huge kick up the backside.

SeriouslyFedUPPP · 04/10/2026 13:58

I like amazons own fruit juice apple and orange, buy them regularly

Namechnages · 04/10/2026 14:04

I buy my groceries from them through Amazon fresh. Here you can also get Morrisons, coop and Iceland delivery.

Same day for no extra cost. Asda charge £8.50 delivery fee!

squashyhat · 04/10/2026 14:07

Skippy extra crunchy peanut butter in 1.3kg jars. And a monthly subscription to my Lavazza coffee machine pods. Both much cheaper and larger packs than in shops.

Notreallyawaitress · 04/10/2026 14:16

Dalston ginger soda and Rude almond milk on subscription, dry black olives and various spices occasionally too

elperil · 04/10/2026 14:18

The only item I buy (food related) is zero vanilla syrup in 1ltr bottles - for my coffee. Half the price of others in the supermarket, and lasts for ages.

Then why are you recommending products from Amazon on other threads? 🤔

You don’t use Amazon then? Not at all?

Do you have a link please?

Protexin prokolin paste is exceptional for dog poorly tummies, really easy to give and is currently a subscribe and save item on Amazon.

bestbefore · 04/10/2026 15:37

Large bags of coffee beans, dishwasher tablets and occasional fresh delivery on way home from holiday

Crikeyalmighty · 04/10/2026 15:40

Clipper tea in boxes of 5, large bottles of good olive oil, aswell as loo roll, dishwasher tablets, washing tabs , dishwasher salt etc

Seagullsandsausagerolls · 04/10/2026 15:55

Herbs spices rubs etc. Unless it's very basic it won't be available in our area if it is available it comes in tiny little jars. I can buy everything in bulk and buying them in bulk saves me money.

For us it's a living in the sticks thing we only have a Spar locally the prices are daylight robbery and the dates are often questionable. We have lots of deliveries we still have a milkman, butcher and vegetable/bread man.

BitterTits · 04/10/2026 16:18

Cat food, coffee (Azera), cereal, Vimto is usually cheaper on there, spices, San Marzano tomatoes either there or Ratton's Pantry.

You do have to watch for price increases on subscribe and save though.

Jewelanemone · 04/10/2026 16:21

Jars of maraschino cherries for cocktails.

I don't buy from Amazon. I use them to my advantage by reading reviews, comparing prices and then buy elsewhere.

Seymour5 · 04/10/2026 16:31

DH likes a particular malt whisky, it’s always cheaper on Amazon. I buy Rubicon low sugar drinks, none of the local supermarkets stock them.
