My 5 year old has pooed himself 2x in the last two weeks. 1st time he was playing a game, second time he was on FaceTime talking to a relative. When I ask him about it he says he felt he needed the toilet but didn't want to stop what he was doing to go. Untill he went flying to the toilet but didn't make it.
His bowels moved this morning. And he goes every day or every other day generally.
when I cleaned him up it was (sorry tmi a small soft squished poo). He then sat on the toilet but didn't do anymore poo.
I'm at my wits end with it!helpppp!!

Does he need time limits on his gaming?

Twice in two weeks, if that's all, doesn't seem like it's worth a panic or being at your wit's end yet. He's 5 and is still learning how long he can wait. Why are you particularly concerned after just two events in 2 weeks?

Is he constipated?

If it’s only happened twice I wouldn’t worry about it, he got distracted and didnt want to stop ding what he was doing.

I did think of this but I'm not sure. He said it was because he held it in so I'm not sure.

Because he knows fine well when he needs the bathroom. We had a period last year when he did it but I suppose I'm more worried this time because he's at school now. Were I feel this is way more unacceptable than at nursery.
