If you had money would you advise DD to marry

A hypothetical scenario:
1 DD, only child. both parents comfortable with other properties etc.

Yet to inherit from DGP

Would you advise DD to marry or not

(Ie protecting assets)

Depends who, surely

I wouldn’t be telling her what to do, no. I have two DDs and they will be wealthy young adults, as will both my sons.

I think when that time comes you have one opportunity to say something if you are dreadfully against the match, explaining your hopefully valid reasons. But those reasons would be about the man’s character or behaviour, not about money.

Having said that, I can’t imagine what sort of person would not marry just because their parents told them not to!

At some point you have to accept you will lose control of the money. Other things are far more important.
