Normal for teething pain to continue after teeth cut through?

Poor 11 month old DS recently popped out five
(!) teeth over the course of a 10 day holiday - the four front teeth on top and another on the bottom. He only had the front two bottom ones before that.

Unsurprisingly he's been a bit grizzly, but if anything it seems to be at its worst now all of the teeth have cut through, with several of them having been out of the gum for a good couple of weeks now.

Things I'd previously read about teething suggested that the pain would normally peak before they break through and settle quite quickly after. Is that other people's experience or has anyone found it to drag on after too? New territory for us as our first DC we didn't hear a peep when it was going on! Just wondering if it's time to consider whether anything else might be wrong, although it's not immediately obvious. Thanks for any wisdom! (unintended pun)

Ahh bless, there are probably more teeth coming through.

I know they can cause earache and all sorts of horrible things until all of them are through.
