What water bottle?

I want to buy a good refillable water bottle to ensure I keep up a decent water intake without buying plastic 500ml bottles.

I want bottle that’s at least 500ml but pref larger and doesn’t taste of plastic. It’s the plastic taste that always puts me off!

Any suggestions? Not a Stanley type.

Thanks.

Chilly bottles are good - stainless steel so no nasty taste. They come in multiple sizes including 500ml and 750ml. I have had one of each for several years and still going strong.

I used to have a limited edition Chilly until my goddaughter decided she should have it on permanent loan... I now have this in the green and beige. It doesn't keep things at a certain temperature, but I have LPR so room temperature alkaline water is now my default anyway, plus it's handy to always be able to see how much you have left (which you can't do with an opaque bottle) and also it reminds me to drink little and often: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7691852?clickPR=plp:17:85 The drinking spout is also really comfortable, no plastic taste and despite me taking it everywhere, it has never leaked. Also a total steal!

Ion8 everytime. They do metal and plastic and they can go in the dishwasher! Hallelujah!

I’d look in your local tk maxx if you have one. I like the ones with the flip up straw in the lid. I’ve got a ‘manna’ brand one which is excellent and fits ice cubes in the top and they stay solid all day!

Thanks all. Some good suggestions and I can pop to TK Maxx tomorrow as well.

Chillys can’t be beaten! Never leak, keep drinks cold. For water it’s always the one I use.

I’ve recently got a Ninja Thirsti (£20 on Amazon) which is brilliant as designed for fizzy drinks.

Ion8 every time. The steel Primo range is insulated “keep hot/cold”. DS still uses a plastic Ion8 bottle he got in primary school. Probably around year 4. He’s now in Y13!

We’ve had 3 Chilly bottles. The cap has cross threaded on all of them.

Owala bottles are very on trend at the moment, but also seem pretty sturdy.

Another vote for chillys, keeps it cold for absolutely ages, i put ice in mine and it was still frozen the next day.

I really rate this https://amzn.eu/d/01DmANQp

I've had mine for years. I like how it had an interchangeable lid so you can use a the straw that comes with it. Also comes with a mini bottle brush so it's easily cleaned. And the cover has a strap which is handy for when I go for a walk .

I love my Yeti bottles. I have two metal ones and a plastic.

I prefer a flip up straw then a lid I need to screw off and as the lid is plastic, I don't have the metal taste in my mouth.

The metal ones hold the cold really well, the plastic obviously less but I got it when I was bedbound with a shoulder fracture and didn't want to lift a heavier bottle one-armed.

I’ve got Klean kanteen ones, simply because on the twist straw cap the straw is metal. I’ve had so many bottles go in the bin because the straw has split.

you can set different lids that fit the same bottle, so they’re quite versatile.
