Looking for a self catering complex/small holiday park in the Lake District. Somewhere with a few things on site for children, maybe animals or some play equipment. Anyone been anywhere lovely they could recommend?

We recently camped at Hillcroft at Pooley Bridge and had a lovely time ☺️ they have glamping pods and caravans too that looked lovely.
Facilities were great - fab play park for kids, goats and a horse to feed, pizza truck/fish & chip trucks on certain nights, 5 min walk into town with pubs/shops etc and a further 5 mins to Ullswater lake.

Oh this looks great, thank you for the suggestion! Been to Pooley Bridge, but never come across this place. Will check it out!

Was the site lively or quite quiet?

We were in the small camping area next to the playpark and it was lovely. All very friendly families, no excessive noise, just kids playing ☺️ We had no issues at all!

Look at Pudding Cottage directly opposite Brockhole and very easy on buses to Bowness and Ambleside (bus stop 1 min walk from cottage)
