What Tom Hardy show/movie should I watch next?

[ThePineappleSeahorse]

I’ve only recently discovered Tom Hardy, yes 20 years too late but better late than never.

So far I’ve watched him as Bane in Batman, in The Take, Legend(My favourite) and Wuthering Heights. What should I watch next?

Tia

Locke. The slow unravelling of a man’s life, entirely in phone calls.

90 minutes of just Tom sounds like heaven to me.

There's an Oliver Twist on iplayer with him as Bill Sykes.

Mobland and This is War

Maybe we should limit any more info on the form and plot of Locke?

Thank you. This I need to see. Well I need all of the Tom Hardy but especially this as Oliver Twist is one of my favourite books.

I should really check out the catch up services more often because I found his Wuthering Heights on ITV X last night and now I learn that he’s in Oliver Twist!

Taboo, 100%. But how has no one mentioned Peaky Blinders yet!

Mobland is the only correct answer. It’s superb

I was going to recommend this. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not the sexy Tom we all know and love but superb acting nonetheless

I liked Taboo. There have been vague mutterings about a second season for ages, but it’s so long now I can’t really imagine it happening.

Yes, he’s so good in Stuart… Very sensitive and thoughtful performance.

Warrior and The Drop

Have you seen him read bed time stories for Cbeebies? There will be videos on YouTube. Best thing he's EVER done #swoon

The Drop
Mobland
Taboo

I've tried twice with Peaky Blinders but just can't get into it.

I liked Peaky Blinders and Tom Hardy is great in it. There is, however, a lot of "not Tom" around it.

I’ve watched a few clips on Youtube and his performance is breaking my heart and that it’s a true story makes it even more devastating. I was hoping the dvd would arrive today but no luck so fingers crossed for Monday.

Thank you for reminding me to watch PB. I started watching it last month and loved it, especially Arthur, but I was really quite ill with Covid so I couldn’t concentrate on it as I like to do so vowed to return to it from the start when I felt better so I’ll have to do that soon.

I’d recommend the book as well

I’d also recommend watching him rapping as Frankie Pulitzer. There’s no end to his talent

Venom. 1 2 and 3 x

Rock n Rolla

Its absolutely brilliant from start to finish.

I just watched that yesterday! I didn’t know that he rapped. I have no knowledge of hip hop or rap so I have no idea how good he is but it certainly seemed impressive! The American accent threw me a little though but he seems like an incredibly talented and versatile man.

This means war, a romcom with Tom Hardy, Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon. Highly recommend!

The Drop, a really great film.

I may be 42 and childless but I definitely need Tom Hardy reading me bedtime stories.
