Am I overthinking this?

This could well be a stupid post. However, im wracking my brains thinking about it.
Earlier today my phone rang. I looked at the call and it cut not so long after it rang. Maybe one ring and if went down before I could even get to it. Anyway. I rang it back and nothing. I then texted it saying hi, who is this please (as I run a tutoring business so it can be a client)
Then I went to shower and I had this weird thought come over me. I remembered the number from a few years ago, I typed it back into my phone and added the number. Checked WhatsApp to see if jt had a picture. It was my ex. My ex of 3 years ago who cheated, lied and sent me insane. My heart sank remembering everything he put me through yet I still loved him for ages after hoping we'd fix it. 3 years later I forgot he even existed.
I suppose this post was more of an off my chest post. Part of me genuinely doesn't understand how he could ring me. He clearly still has my number and you don't just press one button and it rings on iPhones. It's multiple. Or maybe it was an accident. But it's strange how that accident happens 3 years to the exact date we broke up.

Whatever it was, forget and move on and block the number.
He was a cunt by the sounds of it and you’re well out of it.

I would have thought an accidental dial, pressed your name instead of the one he was supposed to.

Block the number and don’t think about it again

It’s not like he rang you with one ring on purpose to then never reply is it? Whatever he was doing it was likely an accident. You broke up years ago, forget about it

Dandeloosha · 19/09/2026 08:58

Probably butt dialed you. Block the number. He’s not good for you.

NerrSnerr · 19/09/2026 08:59

Maybe there’s another ‘glorious’ in his phone and your contact was next to theirs and he dialled the wrong one for a second.

I’d just block and leave it.
