Am I overthinking this!

This could well be a stupid post. However, im wracking my brains thinking about it.

Earlier today my phone rang. I looked at the call and it cut not so long after it rang. Maybe one ring and if went down before I could even get to it. Anyway. I rang it back and nothing. I then texted it saying hi, who is this please (as I run a tutoring business so it can be a client)

Then I went to shower and I had this weird thought come over me. I remembered the number from a few years ago, I typed it back into my phone and added the number. Checked WhatsApp to see if jt had a picture. It was my ex. My ex of 3 years ago who cheated, lied and sent me insane. My heart sank remembering everything he put me through yet I still loved him for ages after hoping we'd fix it. 3 years later I forgot he even existed.

I suppose this post was more of an off my chest post. Part of me genuinely doesn't understand how he could ring me. He clearly still has my number and you don't just press one button and it rings on iPhones. It's multiple. Or maybe it was an accident. But it's strange how that accident happens 3 years to the exact date we broke up.

Ah I thought it was probably just an accident until you mentioned it being the exact date you split up!!

He probably saw the date, thought of you and impulsively thought he’d ring you, before chickening out!!

Just block his number and give a sigh of relief he’s no longer your problem!!

But after 3 years howwwww do you call your ex accidentally. Also I stupidly texted it saying who is this before I realised🤣

"who is this"? "is good. It tells him he isn't occupying any of your head space!

Any further calls or messages? Did he reply?

Nothing at all. Just silence. I’ll be honest. I went home to my sister and cried. My world shattered the day things ended and I worked soooo hard to get to where I am today. Silence for 3 years and a call on a random Friday?? I can’t get my head round it

Yesterday you had forgotten he existed! Have your cry, block his number and you’ll soon forget him again! Flowers

By the sound of him, he’s likely done it deliberately to mess with your head! Just ring once to put himself in your mind and get you thinking about him. I’d block his number and move on.

Yeah I've had exes who have done exactly that. I blocked them, but one in particular started turning up where he knew I went shopping.

I don't know why some men do this.

I had one who every now and then would just watch the first if my Instagram stories, despite the fact we weren’t following each other. You don’t accidentally do that five times. It was just him wanting attention and trying to put himself in my mind.
