What nice thing has happened to you lately? Yesterday I had a lovely surprise when I went to view a painting of mine in a local art gallery as part of an open art competition. I was showing my parents my work and I noticed a little green dot next to my work…someone had bought my painting! I was thrilled especially as I had no idea, my parents were thrilled too 😍 I have no idea who the mystery buyer is!

Huge congratulations on your sale.

I've been on my own in the house ALL WEEK. Dh is away with work, both dc (adults) are away so no "just popping in".

For food I've had whatever I felt like at the time, no preplanning of meals to be eaten around dh's work calls.

Been in the garden tidying and planting. Nobody interrupting me.

House is as tidy as I leave it.

I do adore my family, is it really awful to say this week alone has been bliss 😁

That’s so lovely!

A brand that I really love had a sold out item. They got in touch about working together on one of their other products (I’ve got a niche Facebook account) and I shot my shot and asked about the sold out product. They are sending it to me!

Oooh I can definitely relate and it is a quiet sort of bliss to have the house to yourself and everything stays tidy and just as you left it. Enjoy your alone time 💕

I hosted a lovely lunch with my sisters and a couple of cousins on Thursday. For some of you that may be an everyday thing, for me that kind of thing happens maybe twice a year. I looked forward to it for over a month and it went very well. I think we all enjoyed it.

I went to visit an aunt I last saw 10 years ago and met my cousins who I last saw 45 years ago. Brilliant weekend. (We are a laaaaazy family.)

Whilst I was there a friend who i dont see often rang to say she'll be in the neighbourhood, could she stay over - that's tonight.

I went to a gallery type shop and picked a print. When I asked the lady on the desk for it, she went slightly pink and declared, ‘Ohh, that’s one of mine!’ It was a lovely moment!

I have just had a family holiday with my two adult sons, DH, my DIL, and two grandsons. Everyone got along wonderfully, and my youngest son (26) and eldest grandson (2) built a lovely relationship. They haven’t spent much time together, as my eldest son lives in Scandinavia.
