Best laptops??

[Mspinklady]

Does anyone have any recommendations for a laptop - under £500 not too big - For a student (doing accountancy)
There are so many I don't know where to start and she needs it for next week!

I would look for one that is 15" rather than 14" as she probably wants a number pad on the keyboard and they are normally only on the larger models.
If you really do need to get a 14" one, you'll need to get a plug in number pad to go with it.

16GB of RAM is probably the best you will get around your price range.

Don't get 8GB RAM as she will spend the whole time really wanting the upgrade (aka buying a whole new laptop), so avoid it even though the price looks attractive.
It will struggle to do the work she will be doing.

I'm not sure you can get anything decent for your budget unless you are looking at refurbished though.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

I find the HP brand good. Mine is 9yo and still fine.
