Does anyone know / have practical knowledge of the small town of Eymoutiers about 20km east of Limoges? Looking to rent in France for 12 months (rural) and investigating lots of possible places, this seems to tick all the boxes e.g. rail link to Limoges, small high street shops, community events. We spent the day there recently and felt welcomed by the local people we talked to (I appreciate there may may have been an element of wanting our money as tourists!) but the town had a warm, genuine feel about it not so evident elsewhere.
It's a long shot I know but posting here as I can't see a travel section.
