Old-fashioned, outdoor, kids' party games

I am hosting an 8th birthday party this weekend in our large garden. I will be rolling out old fashioned party games, supplemented by tractor rides (we are in the country). So far I have

  • apple bobbing
  • eating doughnuts suspended on a length of string
  • pin the tail on the unicorn
  • pinyata
  • the knife and fork chocolate game (remember that from the 80s!)
Keen to hear any other fun and silly ideas.

Dead Lions. Musical bumps. Statues. Kim's game. Stick in the mud (literally in this case, maybe).

I remember cobbling together hats, scarves, ties, jumpers, dresses etc and a big pile in the middle can’t exactly remember how we played it but the children absolutely loved it and we had some great photos of them all looking decidedly odd in their outfits.

Pass the Parcel with forfeits in the layers. Do 10 star jumps, sing happy birthday, shake hands with all the players, etc... We always added smack the Dad on the bum, not PC now but was a family tradition from childhood.

The chocolate game, hats gloves scarf dice and a knife and fork
