Can I ask vinted to remove feedback??

I bought an item ages ago. Seller never posted it. I get a message (first communication) saying she has been decorating but will post. Then the item gets cancelled same day.

I've been waiting ages and need it so I asked her why. She said it was vinted.

So I left 1 star feedback saying she never posted item and vinted ended up cancelling the order.

She then leaves me 1 star feedback saying Inwas rude and aggressive?!

How is that fair? I did nothing wrong and was neither rude or aggressive, I just asked what had happened!

How annoying for you. Unreliable people (buying or selling) are so boring on vinted, taking ages to post/collect and giving excuses etc. The feedback issue is annoying that you can’t leave genuine feedback for someone without them being able to retaliate, even though yours was justified. Is there at least an option to reply to the seller’s feedback with a synopsis of the situation. Someone like me would see the one star, but then judge the situation by the reply, and would happily ignore the bad feedback if it seemed the person leaving it was being petty.

i don’t think vinted will care, their cs isn’t good at all, but try your luck!

You can't get it removed for inaccuracies. The list of what may get a review removed is on their help page, here

https://www.vinted.co.uk/help/14-feedback-star-ratings

I would reply with a summary of the facts and emphasise that none of your communication was rude or aggressive. Don't get into any kind of retaliatory comments or arguing. Just state the facts and leave it there. If I see a negative review that has a polite, factual and calm response then I think it reflects well on you rather than the other person.

They have emailed me to say that the womans communication violated their community standards and they have taken action but not removed the feedback!

Surely if they investigated and saw she was in the wrong and I haven't done anything they should remove the 1 star review she left?!

It’s frustrating when that happens. Next time, don’t give any feedback because the seller should automatically get a negative review if Vinted did cancel the order.

I've only been on vinted a few weeks. I have 2 feedback and 1 is hers.

Feel like just shutting the account and starting over.

Reply to her comments with facts so that it is visible to other users - they will know that it was a one off and that you are a nice vinted user.

I wouldn’t stress about it. I don’t generally look at the reviews before buying or selling something.

SilenceInside · 19/09/2026 10:28

@Hirono no need for shutting your account. Anyone with a modicum of sense will realise that it’s not you that was the problem and not be worried about it at all. It wouldn’t stop me buying from you for example.

StickyProblem · 19/09/2026 11:23

Bad luck OP but don’t give up on Vinted. As others have said, don’t give a review for that sort of thing, they get negative auto-feedback from Vinted itself. Get some more stuff sold and your average score will go up.

She’s not a shop, and sellers are allowed to cancel, same as buyers, before it’s dispatched. I think this is six of one and half a dozen of the other to be honest. Just see it as a lesson learnt.

Comeonbabylightmyaga · 19/09/2026 12:27

You should be able to reply to the feedback. I would politely describe the situation ‘seller did not post item and I was called rude and aggressive when I asked why it hadn’t been posted’. The seller cannot reply and it will explain the feedback to anyone who looks.
