What company for renting a car?

Our car was stolen this weekend. We were on holiday and had to get the train home. There is no way we can cope without a car, so I’m going to go to Manchester airport tomorrow morning (it’s not far) and rent a car from a kiosk there. Is any company better than another ? Or is there one to 1000000% avoid ?

I’ve always used Enterprise with no issues, but tbh I’d look online for the best deals and to check reviews before you go.

This is going to be cheapest - I hire from them a lot. They have shit reviews because people don’t read their terms and conditions. You need a credit card in the drivers name with an about 3k credit limit they do put a hold on the credit card for 2 or 3k but you get it back once the car is returned. A small car from them is 63 for the WEEK. Fait 500,
Does your insurance cover a hire car?
Go onto travel supermarket and do a price comparison. Also if all this is not covered by insurance take out a car hire excess insurance cover separately. So say you let 63 for the car, around a tenner for your separate excess.
