It’s my parents 40th wedding anniversary in October and I really want to mark the special day, originally they were going to renew their vows in a very small intimate ceremony but unfortunately we’ve lost 4 people in the past 12 months so that got put on hold and forgotten about also felt a little insensitive to do as 2 of them were close family meme era husbands. So it’s in October the wether probably won’t be great so beach days are out, we’ll have 3 kids in tow so needs to be kid friendly but still center about them….all I can think of is a meal out but I really want to do something really special for them. I’m based in south west England any ideas would be massively appreciated ☺️

Would they like a fancy afternoon tea some also cater for children alongside the adults.

Although if you stay in Cornwall.way they are probably sick of scones 😀

Have you asked them? They might, for example, already have planned to go away somewhere - anniversaries are usually just for the couple to celebrate. Or they might have a preference. Just speak to them!
