Are most three and four year olds in full time preschool?

I’m asking because I recently enrolled my daughter in preschool , 3 days a week. But the preschool seemed a bit surprised and were wanting me to send her Ft. Do most children do this?

Mine did two days. I can only think of one child I know who did full time.

Mine is in three and a half days, which works for us. I think it's quite common to be part time?

My child only did 2 days. Has just started reception and has managed well.

No, most PT.
Maybe some places they are, but if you're asking generally, in the UK, it's no.

Probably depends if you have working parents or no other form of childcare. DS was part-time at 3 but went full time when 4 so was fully ready for school (and also he didn’t want miss out what they were doing on the other days)

Very few of my son’s year (just started primary school) did full time. DS only did two full days, I didn’t want to give up anymore of my time with him than that!

Both of mine only ever did two days.

Where we are, it’s unusual not to be five days.

We did three days starting at age 3, so one academic year of preschool. Starting school was fine and we enjoyed our extra days together in the run up to it. My child is very shy and attached to me and it was still okay for us. I had the same reaction, they thought I would want to up to 5 later in the year in preparation for school but I didn’t.
