If women were physically stronger than men (lighthearted)

What would the world be like?

Physical strength would swiftly be denigrated as a worthless and inferior attribute and paid really badly...

😏

We would rule the world.

I’ve often wondered about this. Do men dominate just because they can (because of their strength and size)? Or is there something else going on?

If we were the bigger stronger ones, would we just behave like them? Be more violent and controlling? One of the main problems caused by men is sexual violence; is that only because of their size and strength and the fact that they have always dominated and controlled us historically? Or is there another reason for it? So would we then become sexually violent as a by product of being physically dominant?

So I’m afraid I can’t answer your question and can only add further questions.

Sorry… you said lighthearted but my response isn’t really that 😕

No, I don't think we would become more sexually violent, but we would be far more able to prevent theirs.

I also think there would be far fewer wars and the world would be a much more peaceful place.

I hope you’re right @Cotopaxi.

It’s interesting as a thought experiment because testosterone is what makes men bigger and stronger, and might also be partly behind their sexual behaviour, so I wonder if the two are intrinsically tied together to some extent. (Please note I’m not suggesting that men can’t help being sexually violent because it’s just their hormones. We all hopefully know lots of non-violent men).

But I think if we were to take that bit out of the equation and say both men and women are exactly as they are now but just with a size/strength swap, then I agree with you that the world would be a much more pleasant, nurturing, collaborative kind of place.
