Amazon Alexa or DAB radio for a child’s bedroom?

What would you prefer for a kids bedroom, Amazon Alexa (no screen) or a DAB radio?

id like the to be able to listen to music but not sure what’s best/socially acceptable?

I'm inherently very distrustful of smart speakers, DAB radio should be fine. Maybe one with Bluetooth if the older one wants to stream music from their phones?

The older one doesn’t have a phone.

Our son used to get freaked out by Alexa as sometimes it would randomly say something or beep and he hated that. We got rid and gave him a radio. He actually got a retro record player and used that mostly though!

We love the Alexa’s, we use the alarm functions, drop in to speak to them, they can call our mobiles from them, and listen to anything music they want, audiobooks. With dab radio they’re restricted to what is being played on the station.
