Supermarket salads..

I know most Mumsnetters wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole. But if you would, how long would you keep a Morrisons’ salad bar salad in the fridge before you ate it?

Until the leaves started to look a bit manky

I wouldn't eat it past 3 days.

So if you bought it and put it straight in the fridge at 5ish on Wednesday..lunch today? Or not?

I’d eat it today no problem!
Would tip out on a plate though in case the salad leaves at the bottom have gone a bit soggy and obviously not eat anything if I thought it had gone off/smelt bad/looked a funny colour

If It’s got mayonnaise on it at all eg pasta salad, I would be wary TBH.

They are generally fine for day or two if kept properly

I’m a rotter with stuff like this and I’d probably not want it past 24 hrs of purchase

I would have eaten it today provided it wasn’t looking limp. Did it have a best before date on the packaging?

I think I’d only eat it on the day or at a push the next day tbh. It’s already been sat out for hours exposed to the air and growing bacteria.
a prepackaged one in a fridge id feel a bit different
that’s probably a ridiculous line to draw but I definitely wouldn’t eat it personally
