Please advise! Looking to spend the night in Largs, can't find a private B&B

A google brings up major accommodation sites like booking dot com etc. I just want to book an overnight at a small B&B for me and DH in Largs for this Saturday night. Can mumsnetters in that neck of the woods point me to a local site to look at or recommend a place.

I would look on booking dot com and Airbnb. B&b’s now largely advertise there because that’s where people search.

Do you mean Lagos, Nigeria? If so please be careful with crime, it scores highly on the chart for pick pocketing, scams and kidnapping with males being more at risk then females. Does you husband have insurance? Do not flash any watches under any circumstances

i stayed at North End guest house many years ago but it was a wonderful B and B

I look things up in Google or Airbnb then do a quick check if the location has it’s own website/Facebook to see if booking direct is cheaper.

These days they advertise anywhere and everywhere to try to increase their visibility

TripAdvisor lists the best b&bs in Largs, could be a helpful starting point. Might be pricey, but always the Brisbane Hotel if there isn't a wedding on.

if you fancy heading over to millport instead of largs the pier hotel (i think it’s called) is always doing deals on those sites like 5pm and suchlike. my relatives stayed and they said it was nice. dunno when the last ferry is but you’d need to check that as it’s on the island of cumbrae.

We stayed here in May - it was wonderful!!
