Cheap places to stay with easy access to Wembley?

Currently looking at booking a hotel in London for 2027 for a concert at Wembley.

Ideally looking for somewhere that won’t be extortionate (I.e. the £900 per night that the Premier Inn next to Wembley charges) but will also be easy to access after a gig.

We are two adults who wouldn’t mind up to a 30 min walk after the show (aiming for standing tickets so don’t want to walk too far!) as long as the walk was well lit etc.

If we need to stay somewhere a tube journey away then this is fine but could also do with recommendations on how to avoid the crush that happens at Wembley tube station!

We’re nowhere near London and rarely visit, so we have no clue where to look or what to do! Help!

There's Premier Inns at Harrow, near Harrow on the Hill station, although Harrow isn't the nicest of areas. Also, Premier Inn at Rickmansworth about 10-15 walk from tube station. Both Harrow on the Hill (3 stops) and Rickmansworth (9 stops) are on the Metropolitan line direct from Wembley Park.
There's probably others. Google Premier Inn or Travelodge in these areas, all on the Met Line from Wembley, Harrow, Pinner, Rickmansworth. My option would be the one at Rickmansworth.

I did have a quick google but I’m so unfamiliar with the tube to know which stations are convenient to get to and which lines run where!

thank you for the recommendations, I will have a look!

familiarise yourself with the tube map and find hotels on or around those stops or just put it through AI and let it find somewhere for you. There really isn’t a need to stay in Wembley unless it’s essential to not travel further out.

It’s more avoiding the mega queue for the tube at the station that bothers me. Last time I went to Wembley the queue took over an hour to even get into the station!

Have a look at the Tube map and you'll see that both the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines run from Wembley Park.

I'd look for somewhere further out rather than closer in to London.

Met line recommendations are in my previous post, (but also have a look on the Uxbridge branch of the Met line).

You could also look along the Jubilee line between Wembley Park and Stanmore. If you find somewhere and want to know anything about the area, feel free to ask.

We’ve stayed in Ealing for Wembley a few times. Think it cost about £12 in a uber to get there. No where in London is ‘cheap’ to stay in but a lot of it is very overpriced, especially in the vicinity of an event.

Position yourself by the exit towards the end of the show, maybe even leave before any encore, and be one of the first to head towards Wembley Park.

Ealing by public transport from Wembley is difficult, and getting an Uber on an event day would be a nightmare! Think it would cost a fair bit more than £12 to be honest!

Last time I was there I left before the last song and went to Wembley Stadium rail station instead, didn’t have to queue and they put on extra trains. It goes to Marylebone or High Wycombe

Just head for Wembley Park station rather than the tube.

Spaniels4Eva · 10/09/2026 16:24

Whenever we've been to concerts there, I google the set list for the band if they've done other shows on a tour and work out the 2nd to last song. That's when we leave, as you can still hear it walking away. We've always then got well out of the way before 60,000 others do!

MooBaggage · 10/09/2026 16:30

My top tip re: getting the tube after events at Wembley is to walk to Preston Road tube station - it's the next stop North of Wembley park and only about a 10 minute walk away, so if you're heading South, you're already on the tube by the time it gets to Wembley park. Obvs not as helpful if you're then heading North!

MissBoomBastic · 10/09/2026 16:32

The 483 bus from Ealing Broadway takes you all the way to Wembley

I have done this before but for this one I’d really like to stay until the end so probably won’t be useful this time! But thank you!

This hotel is uber basic but cheap and about 25 mins away on public transport I think?

I was going to suggest Ealing. DS went to a concert earlier this year when there were a couple of other big concerts on and it was a bit touch and go whether he and his friend would make the last train home (they did) so I was looking at hotels. Most were ludicrously priced if there was still availability but the Premier Inn in Ealing would have been ok.

Also Clapham Junction area as there are overground trains from Wembley to CLJ.

jeffsaward · 10/09/2026 17:43

£900? For one night at the premier inn? That’s utterly batshit. I have paid up to £350 for Wembley PI but I have never seen it as high as £900.

it’s really not. We’ve done it a few times. PP have mentioned Ealing as well.

We stayed at the Edgware PI when we went to Harry Styles this summer. Was about 20 min walk to Canons Park station but at the end of the concert the train is going in the opposite direction to most other people & the carriage was practically empty. There is (paid) parking at the hotel as well

Wembley Park station is the tube. Metropolitan and Jubilee lines run from there.

I wouldn't advise travelling back to Harlesden late at night...

Good call! Canons Park is on the Jubilee line straight to Wembley Park and only 3 or 4 stops.
You can also get a bus from right outside Canons Park station, along Whitchurch Lane to Edgware if you don't fancy walking.

OverpricedCupcake · 11/09/2026 10:48

Anywhere on the Jubilee line, I stayed at London Bridge for Harry this year and have already sorted it for next year.
It takes a while to get on the tube but it's really well managed.

Lindy2 · 11/09/2026 10:57

If you stay until the end it will be around a 1 hour queue to get on the train. It is really well managed though and usually there's good humour and singing whilst people wait.

I think you need to simply factor in that wait time. We usually drive and even the normal 10 minute walk to the car park can take an hour with so many people in the same place at the same time.

Head away from London for a hotel and you'll get a better rate. Uxbridge, Ruislip, Gerrards Cross (overground) all have hotels.
