Is anyone in the UK getting lots of insect bites at the moment?

Just that really. I have always been very prone to bites when abroad but seem to be getting quite a few just this week. I wonder whether it’s something about the suddenly cooling weather?

Me too! I don't usually get bitten at all but I've been coming back from runs in the fields absolutely eaten! I thought for a while that the dog might have fleas as she was really itchy too, but no sign of any fleas on her or in the house at all.

Now the weather has cooled down a bit more both the dog and I have stopped scratching, and I've not seen a bite for a week or so. But I couldn't understand what it was biting as I never saw a single culprit!
