Setting out a vision, explaining why and what has already been done plus the plan going forward. No wonder he is the most popular Canadian Prime Minister of all time.

He is certainly a contender. And I have great admiration for him and the Canadian people.

I think he’s great. I’m delighted that he’s got the top job after being at the BOE.

He seems to be relatively stable, focused on equality and growth and handling the crazy that is Trump well.

Shame there's not an online awards thing where we could vote!!

Yes, he is amazing.
But he's getting a lot of flack from the people that hate the Liberals over here.
Pierre Polieve said yesterday that Carney needs to have an economic plan lol as though Carney doesn't go to bed at night thinking of an economic plan and wake up in the morning with an even better one :)

He is so measured, and intelligent and I love the fact that we have a leader that doesn't need to "win" or prove himself in his battle with Trump - he just wants the best for Canada.

Although with Trump escalating and Carney doubling down, one CBC journalist described it like the "Old lady who swallowed a fly" which is a bit of a great (concerning) analogy. I hope for everyone's sake they can get on track again eventually.

But yes, we over here (close to Lake ONTARIO) very happy with PMMC

I have a crush on him. And Macron.

hobbledyhoy · 09/09/2026 21:40

I think he’s excellent and I think Canada will emerge from this Trump nightmare stronger than the US will have ever expected. That half-witted, tangerine buffoon has unwittingly strengthened their hand on the world stage and they look like a strong, reliable ally now that the US has clearly vacated that space.

Yeah I get it. But even my parents who I wouldn’t say are Liberals love him (hated Justin). He’s doing something right!
