What would you do with a rare day off alone?

Next Wednesday I will be having the first day off I've had to myself in months.

I mean No kids, No work, No husband.

I had a few days off with the kids in the summer holidays, but they were always around me, and I.aleays had to make their lunch or think about them

What would you do with one day off and completely alone ?

I live in surrey, 25 minutes from Waterloo.

I would get a head spa then get M&S picky bits for lunch and binge a box set in my PJs

My last day alone in the house I watched the first 8 episodes of Neighbours back to back. 😂

I'd get up early and go hill running for three hours or so. Then home, long bath, ice cream in front of a box set for lunch, maybe a potter to a cafe in the afternoon.

I’d get a bus or a boat as I live by the coast to a nearby town, drink coffee, wander the shops. Lunch and a couple of cocktails and bus home.

That actually sounds bloody amazing. Have you had a head spa before ? They are very expensive where I live, but would pay if worth it.

I’d go to the spa for a spa day and get a massage and lunch.

Shopping and a nice lunch.

A back massage followed by brunch then head home via a supermarket where I would buy lots of nice picky bits, a new book and a bunch of flowers.

A big walk, a tomato salad, a bar of chocolate, a good book or film and a nap.

I like the cinema with expensive popcorn and watching something completely unsuitable for children 😆 it’s so quiet in the middle of a week day. Phone switched off.

Buy good food and bed rot 😅😩

pizzaHeart · Yesterday 21:38

I love to be alone in the house but it doesn’t happen often lately so I would stay at home the whole day.
I would stock up my favourite food, go through my clothes and shoes with music or podcast on and then have a long bath.

I’d go have a lovely swim in the sea if the weather was good enough, or in a nice hotel pool if it wasn’t, then go for a lunch - tapas, Thai, or a fancy wrap - something not too heavy. Love the cinema idea, or a theatre matinee, and as I enjoy cooking I’d like to spend time making something special for dinner - a homemade lasagne or a roast dinner or similar - something I rarely get enough time to do.

Oh god, what I’d give for one of these!
I’d either stay in bed all day, drink tea and read or
head out and do something that allows quiet and solitude like an art gallery or museum, then potter round the shops and buy something nice, a new book, stop for a coffee and cake, then home again to relax and possibly nap before everyone came home.

Rent a beach hut take some blankets and a book and drink lots of tea by the sea

DawnBreaks · Yesterday 22:00

Buy a bottle of wine and a whole cooked chicken. Eat and drink and mess about online for the best part of the day and catch up on a bit of tv. Maybe a wee nap. My life is hectic enough normally. A day doing bugger all sounds amazing!

hotchocandtwosmokybacon · Yesterday 22:05

Sleep and read

BandyAid · Yesterday 22:07

Massage
Brunch at nice cafe

so lucky to live by the sea !

I would tidy/sort something in the house (always satisfying 😂), go for a sea swim or at least an outdoor pool swim, have a lovely lunch in a healthy cafe, get home watch a couple of episodes of something good with tea and cake, followed by a nice dog walk. Possibly followed by a hot bath with essential oils.
