Party food ideas please

I’m having a party for my 8 year olds birthday but they don’t provide food but do provide an area for food and allow outside food.
I’ve never had this before in a party venue so I’m in two minds scrap the idea and book somewhere with food or be creative and provide snack boxes and juice packs for the party.
I’m thinking bread rolls with jam as I think it’s the safest option as some kids eat ham, cheese or don’t like butter, chopped fruit in containers, crisps and then birthday cake or ask the local pizzeria to provide some pizzas but it’s expensive.
is this ok or would you expect more?

Thanks

My DS went to a party where they got McDonald’s delivered (we were asked preference of meal in advance).

@NorthFacingGardenerthats a great idea. There isn’t a McDonald’s local but there is a pizza place and fish and chip shop who do kids meals.

I’d do little card picnic boxes - assuming no dietary requirements I’d do one ham and one cheese sandwich on white bread, fruit shoot, babybel, yoghurt pouch, crisps, chocolate biscuit/cake bar, maybe a fruit kebab or piece of fruit. That gives plenty of food for each child even if they don’t like one of the sandwiches or are particularly hungry. I’d keep a few bags of crisps, wrapped biscuits/cake bars and fruit on hand in case there are kids who want more.

@Mosaic80love this idea with the babybels and yogurt pouches and can easily be put together and not overly messy either. Ok think I’m onto something now

You could offer a sandwich preference on the rsvp? May make people more inclined to let you know if they are coming too! Give a choice of 3 sandwiches perhaps x
