I'm in a really rocky relationship in a rocky situationship. I'm a uk citizen but was raised in north cyprus. İ have always struggled living here. Was bullied harshly and my Gran put me in art school. Life was rocky for a while then İ had my first child a month after i turned 18. Partnership didnt work out due to unhealthy family situation. Later on i fell accidentally pregnant with a bad partner. We seperated after i gave birth but still stuck through no support from fathers. Looked after a few elderly people while raising my two kids. Then up until a few years back i met someone, we fell in love but i was too busy working 60 plus hours a week doing regular cleaning plus looking after a woman who had a broken hip. That was an everyday job for many months. Eventually we got together despite the time that went by and we clicked really fast until it became a click into unnecessary arguments constantly. We broke up often then i fell pregnant. We decided to try put our best foot forward and honestly we were and still are trying our best but he become nonchalant,, i had a horrible pregnancy and alot of it was done by myself despite he worked from home. İ felt alone alot of the time because every minute was dedicated to his job and i was left to my owm devices. After birth not long after 2 months down the line i fell pregnant again. Again i was alone through most of thay constantly begging for his time and effort and we argued. 9 months postpartum he is in a better job better hours but we have drifted apart. He is a good dad. Theres so much context. We both seeked therapy just going together was impossible as we have a an almost 1 and an almost 2 year old. Our eldests are 13 and 9 years old. My eldest has dyslexia and there is no proper help here to help him do what he can do because i know he has so much to offer but he is being pulled down with the lack of help. İ have no proper financials as i have been out of work for just over 2 years. No qualifications as i didnt even finish school just my art foundation degree. I'm struggling a lot mentally. İ dont have family connections or friend connections but i feel i need to escape this god forsaken island for the sake of my children and want the best for them. İ feel UK will offer more for me and my boys. İ just know staying here will be the worst thing i do for me and them. İ just don't know what to do and where to begin. İs there anyone with advice or an idea where to go from here..

Feel free to ask me anything, thank you in advance

Sorry things are tough for you, do you have someone who will put you up and assist you financially and emotionally if you come to the UK? Although you are a UK citizen, it sounds like you haven’t lived here since childhood so would likely fail the habitual residence test which is important for housing and benefit claims. Is your nan still in your life?
It sounds like you are feeling trapped and alone, do you have anyone close by who you can talk to, and help you formulate a plan?

Thank you for taking the time to respond, i really appreciate it. Unfortunately i do not have anyone. İ have relatives residing in UK, county Durham area but im not close with anyone. İ tried years ago to form a connection but everyone is busy with their own lives. İ dont have hope here either so i have no idea what to do. I'd definitely fail any test not that i considered claiming benefits as I havent resided in UK ever since i was 3 years old. İ dont have anyone i can resort to not here or there. I'm just desperately trying to formulate a plan with my boys best interest at heart. i have already tried so hard to make something of myself here but im at my wits end emotionally mentally. İm struggling so much here. İ really dont have anyone else in my life that will help me out. All i have ever done is work and work various jobs to keep afloat and even though i have met many people and know quite a few, im not close enough to ask without it sounding like begging.. where does one go from here? İt wouldnt be so bad here but being a UK citizen i am restricted either residency permit. İm not allowed to work. Or work permit and they are so hard to claim without being worked to death for next to nothing. İ dont want that life for my sons.

OP, as a UK citizen there’s technically nothing stopping you from coming here, apart from finances. You would need a rent deposit and to be able to cover your housing costs and living, so you would need a job asap which might be low paid if you are unskilled. If you have no one here and your children have only known Northern Cyprus, are there other areas with better schools that could offer you more opportunities to earn, save, form friendships etc while you make longer term decisions?

Yes there is something stopping her! The Hague Convention! You can’t just emigrate with kids as a single parent. Sorry OP it’s a non starter unless all the dads would sign papers agreeing to it.
