Robot hoover and mop recommendations please

If you have one please will you share the make, model and your score out of ten? There was a thread where loads of people were raving about them but there’s so many on the market that I’d appreciate some advice. Thanks.

Roborock q10 is great

I've got a Roborock Qrevo with the spinning self cleaning mops. I think you have to get one where the mops spin round and also clean and dry themselves. The ones that just sort of drag a dirty cloth about are no good really.

It's good - I have to say - no complaints at all. I can't really compare because I've just got this one. Other ones might be just as good. This is way better than the one I had before which was about 80 pounds and had the draggy cloth "mop" and hoover. This one was about 280 on offer.

Mine sweeps and mops my whole ground floor every day before I get up on a timer. It's got the whole place mapped out and it goes round the furniture and changes the suction on surfaces like the rug or the doormat. I use a special stone floor cleaner that goes in the clean tank. I empty/refill it about every five days on the mop and about every three months on the hoover. All my floors are gleaming clean all the time. I will say that my house is really tidy, so I can't speak to its small object detection. I just don't have stuff on the floor.

Ive not heard of roborock - will check it out.

Literally just got a Riborock q10 s5 on TikTok for less than £100

Love it. It’s my first robot vacuum so I have nothing to compare to but it starts by going into each room and napping it.

The it splits them up in the app so you can see where it is what type of cleaning it’s going and if you want it to only clean or avoid certain rooms.

You can program it to set off at set times each day and it has levels of vacuum, levels of mopping and even vacuuming patterns.

When it’s done it reverse parks itself back to the charger and that’s it.

Im also impressed by the amount of dust it brings back its more powerful tan I thought.

I have a Eufy E25 called Lenny. He gets caught up in the blinds sometimes but he’s generally good!

Agree. It barely functions. It constantly needs the metal charging points cleaned, it somehow doesn't clean the whole floor, only the bit in front one cupboard repeatedly despite all the re-mapping attempts.

I’ve got an Eufy X10. He’s new and only had a couple of runs but so far so good. I needed one that could cross over a raised threshold as our open plan has carpet in the living area and hard floor everywhere else. He gets over thresholds really well and even over the base of my side and console tables to the floor under them gets cleaned.

The mapping seems excellent. You can see our floor plan on the app and it is incredibly accurate. Only criticism so far is he’s very loud when he pops back to base during the clean to do whatever it is he is doing (mop cleaning, emptying, water refill?!)

It’s raining today and the dog will be off on a muddy walk with the dog walker so this will be the proper test for the mop function. I love that it can do both carpet and hard floor as well as mop. I have really light flooring that shows up every bit of dirt and was sick of either having a grubby looking floor or hoovering every day.

The Eufy was expensive so I’m reserving my score for another week!

We have a Eufy X10. Love it. We have mainly hard floors and it leaves them sparkling. Really easy to map rooms on the app and create out of bounds areas. I do tend to clean the dirty water tank after every use though as otherwise it gets a bit smelly. I would give it 9/10 as sometimes it doesn't return to the dock properly and runs low on battery, though it does alert you when this happens.

We have other Eufy products and they're pretty good at replacing anything which goes wrong too, not that we've had a problem since we bought it.

Cleaning the unit is fairly easy.

Cons
Water levels not that easy to see.
I don't use the voice control, but don't want "another" system, hence wanting "Matter" support.
No ability to connect to a drain or water supply.

In short, I recommend.

I have a Narwal Freo X - I love it! Easy to setup, does a decent job, lots of clean options in the app.

The base unit is surprisingly big though

Can you use them upstairs? Never thought about how if the base is downstairs then they can’t just return to it if they need it?

Most of them you can move between locations, that have previously been mapped.

Once moved it determines which map to use, by scanning the room from its new location. You may find there's a limitation to the number of maps it can store and select, often only 3.

Some are able to work away from the base station, by pre-filling and holding on to the dirty water, but will have limited capacity.

I have a similar situation, but bought a second one as it was less hassle.

Eufy X10. I love it. It will do upstairs but only hoovers up there because it can't return to base for the mop water.

Eufy X10 here too. 8/10 for me. Got it on preorder so had it a few years now I think, and overall it's brilliant but the anti hair wrap has never worked on mine. 4 people with long hair here means it needs the roller removed and cleaned every few days. It also doesn't lift all hair on carpet but my manual vac doesn't do it easily either. You can set how often the mopping pads are washed. We don't have pets so place never gets particularly dirty and it's doing every room every other day (kitchen every day) so I just have it wash the mops after each room.
I wouldn't say it entirely replaces a vacuum and mop - I vacuum carpets the traditional way once a week since I need to do the stairs I just whiz around the rest of the carpets quickly too before battery runs out.
I prefer to mop the bathroom myself, and would clean up a wet food spill separately but for hall/living room etc eufy does it all, all the time.

I had a cheap eufy and it was great. I lent it to my mum who broke it 🤦‍♀️. So I thought I would upgrade to a roomba. It’s not great . It is one that has object detection- however it’s so over zealous. Won’t clean the edges of the kitchen . Any shadow on the floor it thinks it’s a drop and avoids . It’s always malfunctioning. The mop is ok. I wouldn’t get a roomba again.

Ok so Eufy ones will hoover upstairs without needing the base?

I had a roomba for years but I was spending more time cutting my hair off the rollers than it took to put the Dyson round.
ive now got a roborock qrevo edge 2, that mops and hoovers and its pretty great.

We have had this for around 22 months. It hoovers, mops, washes and dries itself and tells you when to replenish the water tank and empty the dirty water.

his name is Humphrey, and he’s fantastic, connects to an app on my phone, does entire ground floor, under furniture, room to room, hoover and mop.
my hoover hasn’t been downstairs in years!
