My child was attacked by an unknown male the police are very slowly investigating but the man has been interviewed under voluntary interview and given no bail conditions. He continues to loiter around our estate even though he is not from this area. Is there any one who can help safeguard my child as I have tried police child services etc and no luck getting any sort of restraining order so far

You may be better moving this to the legal board OP as people who have knowledge of the law and police interviews will be in a better position to help you.

You aren't giving enough info to be able to help answer

Have the police bailed him or NFA'd.

If he has been bailed then contact them to raise your concerns. Call 101 or online contact & ask to speak to the investigating officer. They can explain what bail conditions if anything were given. It could be that there was lack of evidence - one word against the other with no independent witnesses.

How old is the child & the adult? What's the alleged offence? Is it domestic related? Are we talking a 17 & 18 year old or a 5 year old & an adult?

It's hard to know whether a non molestation order (civil injunction) would be appropriate without more details. You would need to approach a solicitor

If he was interviewed as a voluntary, then you can't impose bail conditions. You can only have bail conditions if he had been arrested.

How bad was the assault - did it need hospital treatment? and how long after the attack was the male interviewed?
